We stayed at the Bay House some 12 months ago and enjoyed the location and we they decided to back this week. The place is now under new management who have only been in for 2 months or so, but are making a very good go of the place. We enjoyed our weekend as the Bay House Lake View Guest House is central to everything, pubs, shops, lake and roads

Maxine & Graham the new owners are very welcoming and eager to please, nothing is too much trouble. Comfortable room, very good choice of breakfast and homemade cake in the room every day which was wonderful bonus! Issued with a car park pass so no worries about parking. Easy walking distance to the amenities of Bowness but quiet at night, the location is excellent.

Lovely hosts just a 2 minute walk from the main attractions at Bowness! Lovely breakfasts with people always willing to offer where we can go and what we can do. Rooms were lovely, even though we had what they classed as their worst one it was beautiful!

Friendly owners who make you feel like you are welcome into their home and who greeted us like old friends, remembering us from a single short visit we had made last summer. Beautiful period house and garden located in quiet country lane with glorious walks into the hills directly behind. Walk below into the quaint village of Bowness. We loved having the excellent breakfasts and heading straight out behind the house for hill walks with tremendous views over Windermere. Extremely comfortable, clean room and all necessary facilities. Staff were lovely and welcoming. Would happily stay again and definitely recommend.

What we enjoyed about this weekend was the lovely peace and quiet,location and an excellent place to stay.
The owners ann-marie and paul were lovely and very informative of the surrounding areas..
arrived(a day late; due to really bad snow) to a lovely warm welcome,and a nice piece of cake! The room was fresh and very clean and equipped with everything we could possibly need...

Everything was perfect. Martin (the owner) allowed us to leave our bags earlier than check-in hours, so that we wouldn't need to carry them around. We enjoyed EVERYTHING! We stayed two nights - 20 and 21 July- (Martin was a very knowledgable and brilliant host who made us feel so welcome. He should get an Oscar for his laugh also!
The mattress was especially extremely comfy... A real pleasure.
It was also good, as the B&B was in a very quiet location only 5 minutes away from the town centre, and with good street parking. The cooked breakfast was also very good, and welcome, especially after so much walking on the previous day!

We loved our stay at the Boundary. We went for my wifes birthday and loved everything about it. We stayed in the Hobbs room with a 4 poster bed and gorgeous bathroom. The staff and owner were friendly and extremely helpful. All in all I highly recommend staying here and we will definately be back in the future.
