We stayed at the Bay House some 12 months ago and enjoyed the location and we they decided to back this week. The place is now under new management who have only been in for 2 months or so, but are making a very good go of the place. We enjoyed our weekend as the Bay House Lake View Guest House is central to everything, pubs, shops, lake and roads in and out of Bowness........Loved every minute of our stay. alla recensioner »
Maxine & Graham the new owners are very welcoming and eager to please, nothing is too much trouble. Comfortable room, very good choice of breakfast and homemade cake in the room every day which was wonderful bonus! Issued with a car park pass so no worries about parking. Easy walking distance to the amenities of Bowness but quiet at night, the location is excellent.
Maxine and her husband were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was
delicious and freshly made. The beds are very comfortable. They recently
took over this B&B and are making some renovations but we were not
at all disturbed. Location is also very good as its just by the lake and
couple of minutes from plenty of shops, bars and restaurants.
Charming older style building in historic area of town near lake. Fantastic location with minutes walk to lake, choice of old pubs, shops , public transport & car parking. Light, airy, comfortable & homey accommodation. Lovely breakfasts. Enthusiastic & friendly young hosts wanting guest to enjoy their stay.
the owners were very friendly and approachable,the room was spotless and cosy,the little touches like home made cake in your room on arrival,being given a car parking permitt for the duration of the stay,and not forgetting the superb english breakfast,will definitly recomend it to all my family and friends without fail.
The owners will bend over backwards to accommodate your needs.location was perfect. It's a shame the previous owners let it go to ruin as the new owners have a heavy task to resurrect the place.would high recommend their services however!!.
EXCELLENT!!!!! the owners are new to this b&b and they will make it work they are hard working and dedicated to making your stay there relaxing nothing is to much trouble for them would stay there again without question.
Family run very friendly and welcoming lovely couple who could not do enough for their guests breakfast was freshly cooked to order and plenty to choose from . Beautiful location would recommend this for a short break.
friendly owners, we enjoyed our stay rooms were cosy and comfortable parking was only up the road and the location of b&b is in the centre of bowness breakfast was very nice .

when we return hopefully in future we would request a room on 1st floor as it would be easier for my husband to access.
We liked everything about our stay at the Bay House & wish Maxine & Graham every success with their future plans to further enhance this lovely guest house.
Double room was very small and although there is no space for parking,
there is a large public car park nearby. Free Car park available with
your room booking.

Check out time at 10am was a bit too early for a holiday town like Bowness.
Needs a refurb but owners are going to do it this winter.
We booked late so our room was one of the two smaller ones, suitable for a short stay.
The rooms are not spacious as described at all!!! Similar to central
London where u can hardly move around! The Lake View means you really
can see the lake, but not necessarily any good!.
Small room & stairs.
Poor quality furnishings and terrible shower, freezing or scalding, but
to be fair the owners were only 6 weeks into the business and were
apologetic. They had plans for imrovements acress the board. We felt
that until the imrovements were made a less expensive price would be
more realistic.
