  Svalt, rent, engelskspråkig personal - AB Viladomat is a nice hotel, defintely 3 stars, very large rooms, nice staff that also speaks other languages than only Spanish. The hotel is located at a 5 minute walk to the nearest metro station (Urguell - 2 stops to Place Catalunya) and a 20 minute walk to the bars in the surroundings of Diagonal.   We stayed at the hotel on the last weekend of our honeymoon, I had mentioned it was our honeymoon on the reservation but not upon arrival. They had a Cava (bottle of Catalonia's sparkling wine) with chocolate covered strawberries in our room waiting for us. The staff are very friendly and willing to help, wherever required. The rooms are well appointed, extremely comfortable and clean. There's a great roof top bar area with a small plunge pool to cool off. Lastly, the location is fabulous. Only a few minutes walk to La Ramblas. Would not hesitate to stay here again.

  From the minute you enter the hotel you already feel something is different. Then, when you get to your room you understand how different it is. The lobby includes the front desk with staff that was always willing to help and give useful advice. Just past the front desk you have the breakfast area/snack room where you can grab something to eat or... vad folk säger » drink when you come back in the afternoon for a siesta or in the evening. We loved the Carrot cake! The standard room is divided into two separate ar - There are only 25 rooms in this hotel, so the service was superb. We were addressed on a first-name basis by the staff (great job Javier, Wim, and Ignacio!) We felt extremely welcome and appreciated. The location was unbeatable - 2 minutes to Las Ramblas and Placa Catalunya. Rooms were comfortable, efficient, and sleekly designed - and the extra "salon" was a bonus. We also enjoyed the 24-hour complimentary cafe and the personalized breakfast.
