  Peter was a great host, very attentive and caring, who made you feel at home from the moment you walked in. The bed had heating mattress which was nice and toasty and there was a portable heater in the room to warm it up. It was lovely to come back after exploring all day to a nice hot cup of tea or coffee in the room. Location was along the main road and about give minutes from Killarney town centre. - This B&B is very good one with a delicious breakfast, small but clean rooms with good beds and very very friendly owners. The house is five minutes away by car from the city centre. As we wanted to drink a beer in a pub the owner drove us into the city centre. Beyond that we always were invited for a coffee or tea as we sit in the living room watching TV or surfing in the web. That's much more than standard. We'll come back again! Thank you!

You can travel well from here to Killarney or Limerick. The sights of the surroundings can be reached easily.   Kathleen's Country House is a national treasure! My wife and I stayed there along with my son and his girlfriend. The property is exceptional, beautifully furnished and tastefully decorated. Each room is a little different, but all well thought out and decorated. The breakfast area is delightful and the service is personal. The food was both fresh and freshly prepared. The common areas are all very inviting. It is convenient to Killarney and is a wonderful base for exploring the west coast, including the Cliffs of Moher, Dingle Peninsula, and the Ring of Kerry.

  We stayed in the self contained apartment adjoining the house and were greeted with tea and biscuits on arrival. Joan and her helpers couldn't be more welcoming and easy going. The place was both spotless and comfy in equal measures. Joan is very kind,very good to give advice and treat everyone like special guest. We got bigger room with king bed. Room was cleaned everyday. Breakfast very nice. Very happy with location. It 2 min drive from Killarney,not too close to all crowd. Really nice. We'll be back for sure.
