Kathleen's Country House is a national treasure! My wife and I stayed there along with my son and his girlfriend. The property is exceptional, beautifully furnished and tastefully decorated. Our rooms were spotless and comfortable. Breakfast was a delight, we had a reserved window table every morning. Great breakfast menu and delicious food. alla recensioner » This is a beautiful, small guest facility (14 rooms) that has a very nice ambience. Each room is a little different, but all well thought out and decorated. The breakfast area is delightful and the service is personal. The food was both fresh and freshly prepared. The common areas are all very inviting. It is convenient to Killarney and is a wonderful base for exploring the west coast, including the Cliffs of Moher, Dingle Peninsula, and the Ring of Kerry. We had a great, comfortable stay at Kathleen's Country House. It was a great location and great place to start our journeys around the Ring of Kerry. Ross Castle, Torc Waterfall, and Muckross House are nearby. I loved the countryside decor--it was so clean and cute. Kathleen was a splendid host, and took time with us to answer our questions about restaurant and itinerary recommendations. It was great sleep and a wonderful stay. Kathleen's knowledge for tours and connecting you to the right source. She made it painless. This was one reason I chose her country house and she lived up to our needs for tourist. We did not have a car so it was important for us to have someone take care of this for us. Breakfast was great! Staff wonderful. Do to a family emergency l had to leave one day early l was dissapointed l was made pay forthe three nightsl thought under the circumstances some concession could have been made. I considered it a bit over priced. It was very expensive.This guest house charged 40 euro more than a guest house on Muckross Road in which we stayed on the same week [this guest house also reviewed]. Slow service at breakfast. Food not very tasty at all.
