This was the best place we stayed. It's absolutely amazing - the
guesthouse is immaculate, only a year old. The beds are so comfortable,
the room is simple and homey. The couple who own the guesthouse are the
most friendly people we met in Iceland, the gentleman who owns the place
is so kind and genuine. They have so much pride in their guesthouse

sad to leave, it was the best overnight experience we've had

A fantastic place to stay. The owner was an extremely friendly and helpful gentleman, and could not have helped us more. After we arrived, he showed us our room, then took the time to sit down with us and chat about our plans, and gave us recommendations on the best routes to drive and where to eat dinner etc.
The room itself was great - it was modern, clean, and comfortable. As previously mentioned, there was no in-room TV, but who cares?! If you are bored of your wife/husband/travel companio

Everything was perfect! I cant complain about anything. When I booked it I couldn't reserve 2 rooms with private bathroom only one, but as soon as we arrived they gave us an upgrade. This place is fantastic and right next to the glacier we wanted to make a tour.

My partner and I stayed at Grimsborgir for three nights and we absolutely loved it. In fact, we wished we could have stayed for longer. My friend and I were upgraded as a very generous courtesy to a four-bedroom apartment with a private deck larger than my own home. It felt like a palace after the small rooms we'd been staying in for the previous week. The view was (is) beautiful, the apartment luxurious, and the staff professional and kind. On our final morning, we settled the account after breakfast and then stayed for as long as possible, reading and enjoying the quiet.

hotell is that it is no one at the reception at nighs but there is a
mobile number and if your calling Svava the owner will be there within
five minuits... It may be difficult to get an proper answer if yuor are

My accommodations were very much in line with the descriptionof the facilities. There were no surprises and I liked that. The room was simple but clean and the staff was efficient and friendly. Location is excellent as it is a very short distance from the ferry terminal. The value I received for the price I paid was excellent. The island is fascinating. I wish I had brought my golf clubs, though!

Room was enormous. Hotel seems to be mostly used by bus tour groups. We ate late to avoid the crowds, though had to ask for some food to be re-stocked. Recommend the pizzas from shop at the rear of the hotel. -

We went to this Hotel in Jun 2013 as a young couple and really liked the Hotel. The location is stunning, remote but right next to Golden Circle attractions and close enough to Reykjavik. We liked everything very much, from the location to the house facilities: hot tub was great at the arrival, the place was very clean and confy. Stena was lovelly present and helpful, she has advised us to go to a natural cute hot spring where we had a fabulous experience the day after :) -
