  One of the best and most friendly (staff and room) hotels we had on our ringroad trip. Definitely a recommendation to leave the road no. 1, very good dinner and breakfast!! Very nice view on the lake, absolutly quiet. We liked it very much. - We stayed in one of the great cabins. We were there to hike and enjoy the forest.   This was my fith time in Iceland, and this guesthouse was the best thing I ever found in Iceland, the owner is the most friendly person in gthe whole country, not kidding! We were stuck in the snow and he kindly took us to the supermarket and also showed us the town, the rooms have all the facilities you need, and a mega power vulcanic shower! Very easy access to the center, is difficult to say how much we enjoyed to stay at Vinland! - This is a good location to be based for exploring the north eastern regions. The guesthouse is situation in a quiet location facing faraway mountains. The inerior is modernly designed and this one of the most well equipped guesthouses we had stayed in Iceland - microwave, hair dryer, electric kettle, cutlery, plates and TV, all at a reasonable price as compared to staying near to Dettifoss area.

  I thought the hotel was clean, easy to find, and nicely situated right along the coast. It was a great relief to finally get there when we had been driving for so long. After some of the other hotels we stayed in around the country, the hotel was comfortable enough, clean and well presented, and breakfast was great! Good deal compared to our other stays in Iceland. Nice to be in Hofn where we had access to grocery store and restaurants.

  This was one of our favorite stays in Iceland! The staff was so wonderful!!! They were always available when needed. Also, the daughter talked to us about Iceland and their culture and the surrounding area for a while, which was really neat! It was great talking to her! The rooms were very comfortable and spacious! Everything w - Very clean, comfortable and modern facilities. Friendly and helpful staff who knew about the area and helped us to book a hike/glacier trip. Good food as a set menu can be found in the farmhouse next door.   We are family of 4 (parents + 2 adults). We stayed one night at Vinland cottege near Egilstadir. Nice place, well equipped. You have everything you need to make your own breakfast. Very welcoming owner. - A vonderfull place. Everything looked new, all in a good quality. It´s possible to sit outside and have barberque.   We recently stayed in this guest house for just one night, late check in and early check out. But this was one of our memorable stop on our Iceland trip. Not only the place is clean, comfortable and (relatively) reasonable, the owner of the house was so nice that he really made you feel you were coming to a friend's home. He told us a few must go stops that you don't see from a guide book, like a beauti - Lovely guesthouse, and a great jumping-off point for sightseeing in the south of Iceland. There's not a lot going on in Hofn itself, but Sindri (forgive my poor spelling) was an excellent host who was full of ideas and information about what we could do. Most of our other hotels had hot tubs, so we were a bit disappointed at first that this one didn't. However, it's very close to a local geothermal pool. and Sindri recommended an excellent spot just a 10 minute drive away - five geothermal hot

  Great ambience; lounge has picture windows with lovely views - a true "lodge" feeling. Free WiFi in lounge was appreciated.   It doesn't look much from the outside but actually it was a nice little place. The room was small but comfortable and clean with a desk, a comfy single bed a wardrobe etc. Really good, well equipped kitchen and really nice shower/bathroom. The wifi worked fine for me, although the lady in the next room had problems. I would stay there again.   The staff comprising of Oris, Tomas, Olin and Christie were just awesome people. We felt that we were at home having a night out. All our questions were answered with additional info of interest added. The rooms and beds were more than adequate. I liked the idea of having his/her comforters for the bed.   The staff service was excellent. We encountered a blown tyre and we seek help from the staff. The staffs who are the owners, drove to our vehicle and assisted us to replace the blown tyre. After that they drove my parents to the accommodation. Once we have settled down, her husband drove to a mechanic workshop to fix the tyre for us even though it... vad folk säger » was about 2200 hrs at night. We were truly grateful for their help as we would be stranded if they didn't help us. I would really recommend the place - Were in Vopnafjordur for a specific reason, but could not get over how beautiful, relaxing and simply wonderful the area was - one of the the most beautiful scenery I have ever seen. The farm was lovely, although a little more remote than we'd expected. Had one of the best nights sleeps ever though...very comfortable
