This is a good location to be based for exploring the north eastern regions. The guesthouse is situation in a quiet location facing faraway mountains. The inerior is modernly designed and this one of the most well equipped guesthouses we had stayed in Iceland - microwave, hair dryer, electric kettle, cutlery, plates and TV, all at a reasonable price as compared to staying near to Dettifoss area.

Lovely guesthouse, and a great jumping-off point for sightseeing in the south of Iceland. There's not a lot going on in Hofn itself, but Sindri (forgive my poor spelling) was an excellent host who was full of ideas and information about what we could do. Most of our other hotels had hot tubs, so we were a bit disappointed at first that this one didn't. However, it's very close to a local geothermal pool. and Sindri recommended an excellent spot just a 10 minute drive away - five geothermal hot

By mistake we have ordered a room for 1 person while being together with my 11y old son. The second set of linen etc was arranged in 5 mins.

Were in Vopnafjordur for a specific reason, but could not get over how beautiful, relaxing and simply wonderful the area was - one of the the most beautiful scenery I have ever seen. The farm was lovely, although a little more remote than we'd expected. Had one of the best nights sleeps ever though...very comfortable
