  The guesthouse was incredible!! We loved the location. It is situated in a very nice neighborhood that is conveniently located a block from the pool facilities. And the pool recreation center was incredible after spending the day hiking! The owners were wonderful to deal with, very helpful and accommodating. Definitely purchase the breakfast ~... vad folk säger » the owners put out a fabulous spread each morning that sustains you for most of the day! We absolutely highly recommend the lovely Guesthouse Árny! - Normal room, comfort place for breakfast. Only 4 rooms on the floor with shared bath, so no queue.

  The room was huge, clean and very comortable. The main building has a nice restaurant serving buffet at night. It's expensive but it's iceland, and the food was very good, with a choice of local products. Same for breakfast. The hotel has an outside hot pot open 24h which is very good after a busy day or in the morning before breakfast as well as ... vad folk säger » in the night to wait for the northern lights. There's a little gym room as well. The hotel is close to the sea, we can see the Vik cliffs from it. Vik - We were in what looked like brand new rooms at Hotel Katla Hofdabrekka. The location is very convenient to Vik and many outdoor activities along the southern coast of Iceland. We ran into a problem with something we wanted to do and the hotel staff was fabulous in helping us to find a solution -- a local personal tour guide. Very, very nice accomodations.

  We went to this Hotel in Jun 2013 as a young couple and really liked the Hotel. The location is stunning, remote but right next to Golden Circle attractions and close enough to Reykjavik. The landscape is truly unique, one site of the Hotel faces a thermal energy plant, which bugged me at first, but after a while I found it fascinating to observe ... vad folk säger » the steam being blown by the wind. The other site of the Hotel faces the lake in remote distance, so you get panoramic 'postcard views'. The Hotel has - The Ion is uniquely located next to a geothermal plant that billows steam and discharges hot water into an adjacent lagoon 24/7. Ordinarily, this would not be an attractive neighbor for a luxury hotel. However, the clean, modernist industrial design of the hotel is complemented by the adjacent plant. The Northern Lights bar is beautifully designed and juts out of the upper floors of the hotel providing a commanding view of the small valley and a sliver of the nearby lake Pingvallavatn. The room

  The view from room was spectacular. The slope looked like pure Iceland. The room was comfortable and spacious. Charming in every way. The breakfast buffet was lavish. - location, spaceous interior, friendly helpful staff
