  One of the best and most friendly (staff and room) hotels we had on our ringroad trip. Definitely a recommendation to leave the road no. 1, very good dinner and breakfast!! Very nice view on the lake, absolutly quiet. We liked it very much. - We stayed in one of the great cabins. We were there to hike and enjoy the forest. The cabin was 10 meters... vad folk säger » from the trail so it was perfect. The dinner buffet was amazing - one of the best meals in our 3 weeks in iceland.

  This was one of our favorite stays in Iceland! The staff was so wonderful!!! They were always available when needed. Also, the daughter talked to us about Iceland and their culture and the surrounding area for a while, which was really neat! It was great talking to her! She also provided some great suggestions and recommendations about local ... vad folk säger » events, things to try, and remaining ideas for the rest of our trip! It felt very homey! The rooms were very comfortable and spacious! Everything w - Very clean, comfortable and modern facilities. Friendly and helpful staff who knew about the area and helped us to book a hike/glacier trip. Good food as a set menu can be found in the farmhouse next door. Excellent breakfast, including homemade waffles.I would definitely stay here again.

  We originally had booked to stay in one of the smaller rooms with a shared bathroom, however, the manager upgraded us to a private apartment that was empty for the night! He was very helpful and kind! Having seen both rooms, they both were very nice and spacious and clean! The location is right on the water, and has a beautiful view from - Love this place, very quiet village with a lovely setting in the fjord. We got upgraded to the flat with one bedroom and it was just perfect, clean, comfy quiet well designed with lovely views to the fjord There we hate a randolf sea house and it was really nice and typically icelandic
