  - Our host Thorey was extremely welcoming and helpful; offering lots of recommendations and guidance - We stayed in an apartment separate from the primary guesthouse, which was quite large and comfortable - Both the guesthouse and the apartment are easy walking distance into city center (for people who are accustomed to walking) - Both the guestho... vad folk säger » use and the apartment are far enough from the city center that noise is not a problem (as we understand it can be downtown) - It is easy to day trip o - We rented the studio apartment for a week. We were making a first visit to the University. Innkeeper Thorri was very helpful and kind. As we walked around Reykjavik, we never saw a better value for this level of amenities and character. We love staying in historic and cultured homes like Gastafell. The 1 bedroom apartment was fully equipped and in a wonderful quiet location but literally minutes from everything. Breakfast was excellent.

  Very nice hosts! We felt really great at the place. It was clean, modernly designed. The room was big and the bed comfy :) Internet was working ok. Possibility to use the kitchen, breakfast was good. 5min walk to the city center and the BSI bus station. - Wonderful host family! And the room was very spacious.

  We arrived early, unannounced, and were warmly welcomed and shown to our room even though it was not quite ready. One of the owners proceeded to put the duvets and pillowcases on the bed while we chatted with her, just as a friend might do with a house guest. They really took care of us even though we were only there overnight. As other - Good clean and warm guesthouse. Very warm, casual and homely welcome from owners Edda and Runar. Very clean, comfortable and warm room with good fast wifi Internet. Breakfast buffet incredibly good, and they will accommodate you if you need some extra rest in the morning. Edda and Runar very helpful in general when I needed to find somewhere in the city or arrange anything. They also arranged a great Golden Circle tour for me with pickup from the door; I was even provided with packed lunc

Of course it is also within walking distance of everywhere you want to go. The hotel fully lived up to my recollections and went down very well with my artistic wife.

  I think it is not easy to find such a good hotel in the center of Reykjavik. The hotel is just beside the church, very convenient, quiet and clean. Three rooms share a bathroom, I think it was not a problem especially not in peak season. They provide shampoos, towels, etc. The breakfast is excellent, including many choices. There is 24-hours ... vad folk säger » reception, and if you have to check out early, eg. 4:00 a.m, the staff can prepare the breakfast early as requested. - excellent location and very friendly and professional staff: the option of using kitchen facilities is a real bonus and the continental breakfast is unlimited:As i only visited to try to see northern lights ;failed; having this place to stay in was a real bonus as there is little to do in the city

  The hotel is a small lovely house near the downtown of Reykjavik. There are some types of rooms, incl. Dormitory for 5 people, where I spent a night. For extremely reasonable price you get comfortable sleeping place with bathroom in the room and access to the kitchen, where it's possible to cook your own meal. Internet connection was good as well. - I enjoyed my short stay, as I relaxed like never before. Slept like a baby in a comfortable bad, toilets and room were clean, breakfast great (especially the croissants freshly baked!) and the staff is really friendly and nice. I would recommend it to everybody - especially in the high season!
