  - Our host Thorey was extremely welcoming and helpful; offering lots of recommendations and guidance - We stayed in an apartment separate from the primary guesthouse, which was quite large and comfortable - Both the guesthouse and the apartment are easy walking distance into city center (for people who are accustomed to walking) - Both the guestho... vad folk säger » use and the apartment are far enough from the city center that noise is not a problem (as we understand it can be downtown) - It is easy to day trip o - We rented the studio apartment for a week. We were making a first visit to the University. Innkeeper Thorri was very helpful and kind. As we walked around Reykjavik, we never saw a better value for this level of amenities and character. We love staying in historic and cultured homes like Gastafell. The 1 bedroom apartment was fully equipped and in a wonderful quiet location but literally minutes from everything. Breakfast was excellent.

Riklig utrustning. - The apartments were spacious by European standards and they were ideally located near City Center. They were cleaned daily and everything worked reasonably well. The internet connection was a bit shaky at times and was a dsl line. The tv was lik... vad folk säger » ewise weird, having at times 150 channels, then 6! All British satellite coverage. The Kitchen was European small but well furnished. The bedrooms were large and had 4 twin beds, combining into 2 Queens.   Beautiful, tiny apartment in the heart of Reykjavik with tasteful furniture. Only a 2 Min walk to Hallkrimskirkja or the main shopping street. But at the same time in a quiet site road. Although the check out time is 11 a.m. we were allowed to stay in the apartment till our flight left in the evening.
