Wonderful B&B. Our hosts Vern and Joan were nice. I particularly enjoyed talking to Vern who enjoys sharing his knowledge of the area and anything else which pops into his head. Breakfast was very good as well. They gave a great recommendation for dinner (Squids) which is right down by the marina...food was wonderful. -

The decor of the room was great! The host both were very friendly and were very helpful within the lodge & also on providing us with information about the surrounding area. The room was very clean when we arrived, as myself and partner were very jet lagged from our trip, we denied room service in the morning when they entered, because of this the host came later on to our room to ensure we had all we needed including towels etc. overall a great stay and would definetley recommend it.

Friendly on arrival - helpful with local information - Gary was exceptional and a great host. We very much enjoyed staying here. Nothing was a problem when we asked and gave us a sense like this place was a home away from home. How close it was to go for a meal at the local restaurants, all within walking distance. Pleasant motor inn right on the foreshore of Lake Taupo. Good value for a clean and comfortable room. Excellent facilities provided in the room. Good size bathroom with a spa bath and separate shower. Motel slighlty removed from the main restuarant area, which meant driving but also meant noise reduction.

Great cabin like feel with all of the items to feel at home. Host couple was very nice and helpful. Grounds are beautiful with a great view of the bay. Room was clean and in order. They sent up a complementary Irish Creme and had our breakfast made to order, waiting for us since we had an early departure to make our next flight our of Auckland

The hosts are warm and welcoming, the room is tastefully decorated and
cozy. The liqueur (included) was yummy! Love having a microwave, fridge
and a hairdryer, too. Juice in the morning was great, as was coffee. The
bread could've used an upgrade - yoghurt and fruit would've been
nice, too. Our view was stunning. Wish we could've stayed longer to
enjoy the spa pool.
