You can raech the farm from the Ring Road (nr. 1) very easily, on a normal road (300-400 meters). The family was very friendly, they were really cute. The breakfast was continental (rolls, butter, ham, salami, eggs, cheese, tomato, cucumber, coffee, tea, cereals, milk, everything you want). You can have a dinner too, it's a menu, with soup, a main course, and dessert. They make everything, and it's very tasty. It's cheaper than usual for a bigger portion. We loved that place. The location was a 5 minute walk to the restaurants, and away from any noise. The price was very reasonable for the 3-bed self-contained apartment. Breakfast cost extra, but was generous and had a good variety. Wi-fi was included and worked very well. The apartment was comfortable and spacious - good size bathroom, lounge, dining, kitchenett and bedroom. The lady was very lovely and helpful. There was on-site parking. I highly recommend this for a relaxing stay.

This is a fabulous guesthouse. The owner could not do enough for us including booking restaurants and giving advice about activities in the area. The guesthouse was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was excellent. We would highly recommend the Fagrahlid Guesthouse. Its proximity to the Eyjafjallajokull volcano and to the south coast sights is great.

Hotel Manager Jon and staff made sure that we were comfortable. The
food choice and preparation for us was awesome since we were the only
couple that evening having dinner. The hotel is in winter operation,
thus visitors have dropped off. Jon exchanged culture info with us.
Made many suggestions as to where to visit Icelandic historical sites
nearby. Gave a very informative talk on the geological activity in the
region. The hotel room was very comfortable with plenty of hot water.
