  This hotel didn't look like much from the outside but was beautiful and comfortable on the inside. The staff were nice and helpful. The restaurant available to customers served very delicious food. This hotel is a good place to be for day trips to see nature ( mountains, glaciers, puffin tours, hiking,horseback riding etc...) we enjoyed our stay v... co mówią ludzie » ery much. - Very friendly staff. The food at the restaurant was great and the proximity of Geirland to Kirkjubaejarklaustur was very convenient. The nearby waterfall and the "church floor" formation was nice as well. Great location for day trips to Skaftafell or Hofn.

  Very tastefully decorated guesthouse with a cosy room (including a sink). The breakfast offered very good choice with good coffee and tasty Skyr. The bathroom was shared with one other room which wasn’t an issue – having a sink in the bedroom reduces the need for the bathroom. The owner was very friendly and we had a great game of ball with her Ice - This is a fabulous guesthouse. The owner could not do enough for us including booking restaurants and giving advice about activities in the area. The guesthouse was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was excellent. We would highly recommend the Fagrahlid Guesthouse. Its proximity to the Eyjafjallajokull volcano and to the south coast sights is great.

  My partner and I stayed at Grimsborgir for three nights and we absolutely loved it. In fact, we wished we could have stayed for longer. We arrived at the hotel on a Sunday afternoon to a warm welcome and were given a free upgrade to a four bedroom apartment (No. 15). The apartment had three big double bedrooms, a smaller bedroom, a big living / dining / kitchen room (with working fireplace), - My friend and I were upgraded as a very generous courtesy to a four-bedroom apartment with a private deck larger than my own home. It felt like a palace after the small rooms we'd been staying in for the previous week. The view was (is) beautiful, the apartment luxurious, and the staff professional and kind.   Wonderful place to relax and enjoy Iceland countryside. Many places of interest nearby because it is right in the golden triangle. The hot tub is amazing. Beautiful views from the cottage that has open glass windows and a very big terrass. It is even better than on the pictures.
