It was the best guesthouse we have ever seen!!!! The young owner is absolutely charming and friendly and gabe each information you ask for. The house inside id newly renovated. A big comfortable and old stylished kitchen, a big dining table where the breakfast was served (nearly everything you can imagine) with homemade pancakes and a couch are in the entrance. Wonderful place to relax and enjoy Iceland countryside. Many places of interest nearby because it is right in the golden triangle.
The hot tub is amazing. Beautiful views from the cottage that has open glass windows and a very big terrass.

I was travelling with my family from Belgium through Iceland and we stopped at Laugarvatn on our way from Reykjavik through the highlands to Akureyri.
The summerhouse is perfectly located in the center of the famous Golden Circle.
Perfect location, beautiful nature and view, quiet, excellent facility, superb terrace with hot tub and BBQ.
If you want to experience Iceland like the Icelanders, this is a typical Icelandic summerhouse

we're glad we did. It turned out that the reason was it had only
been open a month.
The hosts were extremely accommodating. They did their best to make sure we had everything we (and our young daughter) needed.

It was such an amazing stay! The house feels so homey. it is beautifully built and decorated, with many thoughtful details. It was by far the most memorable place we stayed at in Iceland. The couple who owns it is very nice and kind. The wife cooked us a tasteful breakfast even though we were the only guests staying there that night. This is definitely a great choice for travelers!

The Galleri was very easy and once inside it was so warm and cosy with underfloor heating. The decor was so individual and immaculate. The personal touches in the room and bathroom were beautiful. The location is stunning, sitting in the bedroom looking at snowcapped mountains made that part of the holiday. Also the little gallery attached sold really nice local art and objects and had a nice cafe attached. For the money we thought this place was amazing.

We stayed in six places while in Iceland, and this was our favorite. Julia is an excellent hostess, very friendly and helpful with suggestions for activities in the area. Also, she makes a wonderful breakfast! The guesthouse is located a km or so from Rt1, so quite convenient. Room was clean and comfortable.

A fantastic place to stay. The owner was an extremely friendly and helpful gentleman, and could not have helped us more. After we arrived, he showed us our room, then took the time to sit down with us and chat about our plans, and gave us recommendations on the best routes to drive and where to eat dinner etc.

This is our second stay at Hotel Vestmannaeyjar in two years and we hope to go back again. The owner, Magnus, is such a nice person. He keeps us coming back along with the fact that we love Heimaey.
