Great location next to the park. The walk to downtown is about 20 minutes.The room was very nice with comfortable beds and pillow. We enjoyed the hotel's restaurants. The hotel was finishing construction from the earthquake damage, it was not a problem.

I travelled with my 75yro mother so wanted 2 bedrooms. Our apartment no 16 was fine and met our needs. It was quiet being in the far corner away from the road, which is very busy.

We liked everything about this motel. The staff were very helpful. The food was great. The room is very modern and functional. We had free parking as there hasnt been any buildings built around the novotel yet so this was an added bonus as its normally $35. Chritchurch is starting to rebuild after the 2011 earth quake. the Novotels is right next to the damnaged cathedral and 10 minutes walk away from the "restart" shopping plaza made of brighlt coloured shipping containers
