We had a large comfortable room which was very clean and well equipped with fridge, iron and toiletries etc.
The desk manager was very helpful, the location is perfect for walks along / around the lake, and the high street is a ten minute stroll, with restaurants and supermarket etc.
Plenty of off road parking and good value all around. -

The way the rooms are arranged and made up to make the hotel itself look like a small town makes it as charming as the people who run it.

It was a wonderful surprise to have such good self-catering facilities. Room was very spacious and comfortable. Laundry facilities useful. An interesting place with all apartments labelled as village shops,businesses etc. Only a few minutes walk to lakeside and shops.

Stay here prior to, or after a day trip to Milford Sound. We wish we'd had two nights here. Although it's a dated hotel that needs restoration, the price is hard to beat. Spend more

We received a very warm welcome from the receptionist, who showed us to our room and gave us two freshly baked muffins, lovely. The room was spotless and very comfortable. The next morning I asked where I could book a particular trip to Milford Sound - the receptionist sorted it all out for me and booked the cruise.
The laundry facilities were also very handy and, again, spotless.

We had a 3 bedroom cottage which was very nice and comfortable. We had a log fire in the lounge room, a big kitchen/dining room, laundry with waching machine and dryer and 3 good sized bedrooms. Ray and Leonie run a beautiful set of cottages on a property attached to their house in Te Anau. The cottage we rented was clean, and fully furnished with a stovetop, microwave, and dishes for four. Ray also runs bus tours to local attractions, including Milford Sound. We had our own car, and didn't take him up on his offer for a tour, but we never felt pressured to do so. In two weeks visiting New Zealand, this was our favorite place to stay!

It is very conveniently located near Manipouri to be able to catch the Doubtful Sound boats and in fact arranges and has discounts on the Doubtful Sound and Milford Sounds trips (for some but not all trips). we rent and booked 2 bedrooms apt . we notified that we would be there 5 adults and 2 children. the rooms were as expected. 1 room with 3 single beds and another bed room with double bed. and they prepared the sofa bed in the living room to very comfy . i recommend this apartment to whom want to go holiday with family. dont worry they have all necesarry things to cook . laundry is also available ib other sidebof the apArtment.
