  Everything about this B&B was just perfect. We felt so welcomed, and she showed us where to eat and where to go. A pity I forgot her name. The bed was comfortable. It was only a one night's stay and we were there from 5pm till only 4am the next day so we couldn't enjoy more. There is breakfast but we were too early. Highly recommended! - A grand house on the edge of the now very devastated and razed city. Great lounge for a chat, and with a welcome glass of wine. Rooms comfortable and warm. On site parking. And they are very close to the punting on the Avon ($25 per person) which we did and really enjoyed. One of the few things that seems like the Christchurch of old.

We stayed overnight in a 2-bedroom family unit in April 2013 as we were travelling with 2 older teenagers. The motel is small and attractive. It is also centrally located and close to Hagley Park - Bruce and Sue were exceptionally helpful and pleasant. The location was excellent, near Hagley Park and the Botanic Gardens. We stayed in a one bedroom apartment toward the back of the building so we slept well. The room and the property were very well maintained. There are on-site laundry facilities and free Wi-FI. Great stay for 3 nights.
