  We loved the old English Manor look, it was very quaint and very appealing. Loved being able to have the big windows open in the restuarant and the ducks on the little lake outside. Very clean and comnfortable beds and very roomy for a studio.....we had a lovely time. We went on a Bays wine tour...had great day and got picked up and dropped back./ - Very spacious, very comfortable. Well decorated, fireplace was a plus. Kitchen was efficient and spotless. Staff very helpful and professional. We had a malfunctioning washing machine, and the staff completed the laundry, bringing it folded back to me. That was beyond the call of duty.

  The owner was very cordial and helpful. The accommodations were updated and comfortable. I was very close to the ocean and town. Easy to get around. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in Nelson and the Beachside was one of the reasons. I highly recommend staying here.

  Clean comfortable room serviced daily with helpful staff. Off main road but close to local shops and Nelson City and Richmond ( 10 minutes car) Nice beach close by. - Nice play area for the kids. Nice area, nice beach, coming from Jersey this something that we are spoilt with.

  We really appreciated the friendly helpful service. The staff went the 'extra mile' to look after us and to make sure that we had the things we needed. They even stored our gear while we were away walking the Heaphy track. This was really helpful. Good value for money. - We were blown away with this motel/lodge.   There were 4 of us and we were able to stay in the cottage that slept 6 people. There was plenty of room and privacy was able to be kept. The unit was very warm (important as we had an elderly family member staying with us).
