Really enjoyed our stay - you could not meet a nicer or more genuine couple than Dot and her husband. The room was really nice with a lovely shower and big tv. The room was spacious, lovely big bed, bathroom was fab, very clean and very comfortable.The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The location is outside of the city but the bus stops every 5 mins just outside of the hotel so its ideal and you avoid the heavy parking charges for staying in the centre. Breakfast was good with a hot and cold buffet available. We would definatley stay here again.

The hotel room was very spacious and quiet.The hotel location was in a nice area and easy to get into Edinburgh by bus we were able to park our car in the grounds and leave it there during our stay.Good food ,friendly staff and a nice hotel with character. We were extremely surprised by the quality of the hotel considering we paid 119 for a double room. Staff were of 5* quality, attached bar is fantastic with good beer, good food and live sport on big screens. Bedrooms are great. Would not hesitate to return. Plentiful parking for free at weekend and a 15min walk to centre. -

The hotel had a unique and modern design, extremely friendly and helpful staff and nothing was too much trouble. We visted the adjoining restaurant 'STEAK' and although it was quite expensive the food and service was worth every penny. We stayed in the room Loch Rannoch which featured a comfy king sized bed, a large flat screen TV with Sky, modern bathroom with huge walk in shower and despite other reviews plently of hot water!
We would highly recommed staying here, was perfect for exploring Ed
