I'm on gluten free diet - had no problems whatsoever. The chef even amended the Valentine's Day menu in the Grill Room. All the staff were exceptionally helpful. The rooftop hyropool was wonderful. - The upgrade to our room was very comfortable and appreciated. The staff were all very helpfull and friendly.

2) Location - There cant be a better hotel than this....superb ! Perfect location - closer to the station. However, you will surely need to take a cab from the Metro to the Hotel (if carrying heavy luggage) 2nd option would be to climb around 108 steps towards the hotel (from the metro station). Taxi would not cost more than 4 Pounds from the train station.

Fantastic apartment in a great location, close to the main bars and shops etc. Someone came and met us at the apartment to show us around, how to use the heating, oven etc. The apartment had 3 bedrooms upstairs with 8 single beds then down a spiral staircase to the huge living space, kitchen and patio doors to an outside decking area. The whole family fell in love with apartment from the moment we stepped into the foyer for our meet and greet upon arrival.

Definitely best choice for Edinburgh. Have stayed at Balmoral 3 times already, and every time was an exceptionally pleasant experience. Location was superb, perfectly located on George Street near the best shops and restaurants.
Drinks and food within the hotel were fantastic and delicious.
There is no fitness center on site but they let you use the one at the Crown Plaza Roxburgh.

we stayed at tigerlilly for our second wedding anniversary. we stayd in the junior suit it was a stunning room very comfortable.we had a few drinks in the bar.the bar staff were excellent my hubby loves his whisky and one young irish bar man helped with choosing different ones he hadn't tried before giving the backgrounds of the whiskys ect brilliant service.cant wait to stay again x

(waverley, castle, etc). -Room nicely furnished. -Extremely comfortable
bed, the best nights sleep that I've had in a long time. -Nice
atmosphere. -The cost to stay was the lowest that I could find in the
area on that night (just £57), yet you wouldn't have thought it for
how nice the place was. Because of this, I would definitely stay again
and will recommend to others.

Great to have so much space. The apartment was very tastefully decorated, clean and comfortable. We had a great time sitting at the widow "people watching" on the royal mile. We had a fabulous one night stay at The Chester Residence. Staff were very helpful and the suite was fantastic. All rooms were very spacious (we had the 1st floor suite) and the location was only about 5 minutes walk from Haymarket and Princes Street. Flat screen tv with multiple satellite channels. Kitchen well stocked daily with breakfast/snack items. Reception/housekeeping more than helpful and friendly. Handy for Princes Street, Usher Hall, theatres and cinemas, but quiet too. Shops and restaurants nearby. Secure basement parking on site. Comfortable beds. Nice views of castle to rear and canal basin from lounge. Communal lobby and lift were clean too.

The apartment space was luxurious, comfortable, very well thought out and utilised - with modern open-plan living in mind, balcony with fold back door to seamlessly bring the outside space in, serviced to a high standard daily; friendly and very helpful staff. Very central location at the 'Lawnmarket' on the 'Royal Mile' in the Old Town, in the shadow of the castle itself - great for sight- seeing most within a very short walking distance and only a short bus ride to others.
