Loved the location at the beachfront in the middle of the board walk. Our room was on the 7th floor with a balcony over looking the beach. having our coffee in the morning waching the waives roll was beautifull.Loved the staff, very nice. The hotel needs an update and they are working on it. I want to thank the manager (tricia) for her great service. The location was wonderful. I was worried about all the bad reviews but we had no issues!! Staff was friendly & rooms were clean. Check in took minutes. Parking wasn't on site but only 1/2 block away but no biggie. A lil out dated but I wasn't worried about that since we went to enjoy ourselves and have fun.
all reviews » Customer Service was great, the housekeeper on call made sure we had all our amenities and she did a great job servicing our room. Had a wonderful stay here and would love to come back again. Patricia at the front desk and the rest of the employees made this a very comfortable and friendly place to stay. The view and the soft bed was very nice. Housekeeping was also proper. The location was great! The front desk staff & cleaning staff were so friendly and very helpful! The rooms were fine, beautiful view of the Ocean :). I liked the staff, every one was friendly. I enjoyed the location it was ideal for my soccer games and right on the beach for easy access. Big spacious numbers with a fine view of the ocean. Iron existence in number. Excellent site. i like the veiw of the ocean from the windows..i watched dolphin and the big ships all day. The location is really nice, it's just next to the beach and near a lot of gift shop. I liked that it was Oceanside, clean and spacious. Great location and affordable. I liked that it was right on the ocean and we had a beautiful view from our room. No carpet in rooms gave a cleaner feeling....rooms were spacious. Good and friendly staff. The pictures on the internet really looked good and that is what also brought me there but they were deceiving. I love the beach! So I love to stay in an ocean front room when ever I can. This hotel is located in center of Atlantic Ave. and was a perfect location. The location is awesome. All the Va Beach events happen right outside your balcony, including fireworks. Being on the oceanfront and good location for shopping. Convenient parking nearby and clean pool. Two front desk girls Nina and Bianca young girls but were friendly and helpful. Pool was nice. The beds were comfortable and the view from our ocean-view room was amazing. I liked the wood flooring in the hotel rooms the location of the hotel. The staff and the location of the hotel. The hotel was dealing with a situation with their computer systems. I could tell they cared about me as a guest and accomodated me as best possible. So I don't have anything negative to say. The people made a situation that was inconvenient, unimportant to me. The only thing I didn't like was the parking wasn't that great. But overall we had a great stay!. Not enough supplies, or rolling carts at time of check out. Parking is a bit much because the lot stays full so you have no choice but to walk it to your car and if you do not have a rolling cart it makes it really difficult. Lack of bathing accessories (shampoo, soap). Very cold tiled floor (in not the seasonal period). the work and banging that was going on late at night and early in the morning. Some staff was very rude, they didn't give me the right room ( I booked for 2 queen beds and only got one king size ) and they charge me more than supposed on my credit card without asking me. Carpet in halls were dirty and smelled....pool was dirty....lighting in halls were dim felt unsafe to get ice on lower floor...had to ask for cups,ice bucket,trashcan. Our hairdryer that didn't work didn't change. Only one lift for the whole hotel. Ac did not work! When I pay for a suite, the only suite, I expect comfort! The room was 85 degrees, and we had to use box fans just to get through the stay! I would only stay again if the owners replaced the ac!. Alarm went off in the building for like 5 hours. Fridge, -worked well but the appearance was horrible on the outside. The T.V.'s outdated. Need cleaner floors in the rooms. Parking However the hotel refunded the money from parking in another garage. Air conditioner was very noisy. No chairs were provided but when we complained we got two armchairs. No coffee maker. No remote for TV but upon complaining , one was provided. If I didn't have an Oceanfront view, it would have sucked. Ran out of ice a few times but lots of people were filling their coolers with it so is ok. Parking not on site. all the other malfunctions, too many to name. The building need remolderling. parking was across the street - had to carry luggage across resort traffic area!. bath room needs work. dirty. Evening desk clerk was very rude and not people friendly. Not very helpfull at all. That is why a rated your staff fair. the hall ways. Not a queen size bed like what was told when I book it no microwave like what was said I was getting blood on the bathroom wall dirty wall smell like mold a dump. IngChecked in on Monday and trash was not emptyed until Wednesday. Beds were not changed until day we left. Floors were dirty with trash when we checked in and was never sweeped. Had to ask for towels never thought the service was be like that. Hallways smelled not pleasant. I didn't like ground floor room. They gave us another room, but it was not ocean front. But it was nice and big. I think the hotel could be much cleaner and more organized. It wasn't!. The room needs a good , deep cleaning. One morning I ran to my car & I was locked out if the hotel for 45 minutes because the attendant went to the restroom. Other than that, it was a great trip. The bathroom shower didn't have any shelves for soap or tolietries. Not even close to pictures on website. Carpets dirty,had laminate in room felt ever grain of sand . Slow elevator. had no maid service til night before we left and think a maintenance man changed sheets cause we requested 2 days in a row and got nothing done. There was no light fIxture cover in the bathroom. All the outlets on one wall weren't working so only one of the 4 lamps in the room worked. The toilet seat was only attached with one screw so it moved around freely. During our 2 night stay the room was never cleaned. there were no towel racks or soap dishes in the bathrooms and the air conditioner would stop working from time to time. No place to hang anything. There needs to be towel racks in the bathroom area. There was one little C shaped thing hanging on the wall that held 1 towel. Also, put floor mats by the balcony door. It will cut down on the sand being dragged in the room from the balcony. The air conditioning was horrible I had to change my room three different times on the first night..only one ice machine worked and that wss on the ground floor and there is only one elevator. The room could of had a bit more updates and could of been a bit neater. Could of bad a coffee maker. The hotel needs to be updated. The walls need new paint and need new carpet. The heat was not on in our room when we got there and the rooms were freezing. We ran the heat all night and the room temp never made it above 69. Beds - one was hard one needed to be replaced, rolled to middle of bed. Didnt like the hardwood floors but understand probably easy maintenance for staff. Parking was tight. Room was dusty. Using elivator parking staffs. After reading the reviews, I was horrified. I didn't like the floor nor the shower. Didn't have a microwave. I wouldn't say if the linen had sand or not. Couldn't tell if we brought that in ourselves. It really wasn't that bad, the king bedrooms are alot nicer than the double bedrooms. It wasn't worth the price though. I had booked a ocean front with two queen beds and that not what they had waiting for me they had a queen bed and not ocean front .the place had no towels for two days and room services didnt come for one day then when they came they wouldnt leave shampoo or toilet paper also the room key stop working after two day stay staff would have to open room for us the pool water was frezzing and alot of bugs . No hot water, needs new beds. The rooms were dirty, things were broken in them. The service and staff were horrible. The halways slightly dirty. balcony was dirty with cigarette buts and other trash. Also they charged me extra for "dammages" though there were none. They did refund me the money and for that I am thankful. More maid service and towels. Needed lots of work, in really bad repair. I would not recomend thsi hotel to others.
