Room and facilities were kept clean. Very nice. Staff was friendly, excellent, and responsive. Our bathroom sink was draining poorly upon arrival. I made a call and went to dinner and when we came back everything was fixed promptly. Decent continental breakfast included with the room. Nice size indoor pool and the restaurant at the hotel is not bad either for a simple bar and grill. Sweet Frogs in the hotel and Dairy Queen a block away. Parking garage connected to the hotel a definite plus.
all reviews » The location was superb, within walking distance of plenty of restaurants, the 16th street pier and many stores. We didn't even have to move the car, we just walked everywhere. The hotel was clean and smelled that way, too. The staff was friendly and helpful. The free breakfast was pretty good. The indoor pool was at a soothing temperature. I really enjoyed my stay. The location was great and the weather helped out (beautiful) but if the weather not been okay we were there for restful time and we enjoyed it. For the money I look forward to returning when there is no crowds. The staff were quite pleasant and helpful. The breakfast was tasteful and we did not have to go out to eat breakfast. Nora. Beautiful views of the ocean/beach from both 8th and 6th floors, proximity to boardwalk, excellent breakfast buffet (one of the best I have encountered in over 70 hotels) , friendly and generally competent reception staff, responsive maintenance and housekeeping staff, spacious rooms with balcony and adequate fitness room. The staff was very friendly and helpful.It was very clean as people were cleaning everywhere all day.The breakfast was good and great to have every day.Very nice pool.The restaurants food was good and a nice variety.And of course the view was wonderful.And we liked the fact we didn't have to move the car all week. Clean, friendly, right on the beach and boardwalk, several novel seafood eateries within 3 block walk. Very nice buffet bkfst - eggs, bacon, sausage, French toast, and strawberry waffles. Free parking. Indoor pool (lots of kids) and a nice sparsely used exercise room. We had an amazing stay!! The staff was beyond amazing! Teresa the manager was super friendly! Josh checked us in & was super friendly! Jason helped us unload our car & take it to our room! Awesome view of the beach! Definitely will be returning!!. The room was huge! I absolutley loved it! The staff was amazing. He was so nice about giving me a second parking pass. I've stayed here before and this is the only place I will stay. Thanks for the amazing room!. Great access to the Boardwalk. all rooms face the ocean. Parking deck attached and can enter the floor to your room from corresponding level on deck. Good variety for breakfast. Staff very accommodating. Eveything, The breakfast was great, every thing was within walking distance.The parking garage was handy if you decided to move your car to go to see a movie,etc. Ejoyed my stay very much. the location, the ocean view from the room balcony was powerful, the complimentary breakfast had a great selection of food, friendly staff, easy check out/check in, free secure parking. the extra attention to detail by a woman,Amy and a gentleman Jose who provided extra help needed by the morning crew each morning for breakfast . Very attentive staff overall. All oceanfront rooms is perfect. I Love being able to park car in garage. Also, the breakfast was ver good and choices changed daily. I understand this would be difficult to manage with visitors bringing in sand and sunscreen from the beach all the time. Elevators can be a little slow during peak times and hallways were very warm. The pluses far outweigh the negatives. Rooms had a sweet but unpleasant odour....perhaps a pet urine smell in the carpeting which won't go away despite the best efforts of housekeeping staff. Smoke from balconies can enter non-smoking rooms. Train front desk staff to deal with guests at counter first before dealing with phone enquiries......put the caller on hold until "in person" business completed. Actually nothing. The aura day spa next door is not recommended! We went there on a rainy day & it was the worst experience!. Deck small. Don't take a large vehicle. the carpet in the room was dirty, the room smelled a bit funky, the cleaning staff wasn't doing their job very well ( didn't leave toilet paper, didn't make the bed), the cleaning time was very inconvenient ( we're back from breakfast to take a shower, they were cleaning so we had to leave), the parking lot is a bit narrow, the free WiFi was not high speed. no jacuzzi or whirlpool in thee room or pool. Only Queen beds no kings. The fact that we had to pay 80.00 dollars just to switch from the first floor to a couple floors up. Especially since we already spent over $700.00 for 4 nights. The noise level was annoying due to a heavy door that led out to the parking garage that kept waking us up with a loud bang. We were placed in a room and the tub would not drain. We were promptly moved but it was a bit of a pain to repack and unpack. I would have loved it if the hotel had an outdoor pool. The entrance to the hotel from the main road was not well defined. The bathroom needed some updating. Some things were rusty and the top stopper would not work. The only bad thing I can say is the elevator was so slow. We were on the 6th floor and it took forever for it to come up. We had to wait 10 mins one time. We would have taken the stairs, but six floors is a lot. Really ... nothing. The pool was in a dark place with no Windows and the water was cloudy. Needed a bit of a face lift and could have been cleaner. I imagine trying to keep a hotel on the beach clean all of the time is a challenge. We initially had a room on the 2nd floor right above the restaurant and it stunk, so we asked to be moved. 6Th floor was much better!. The only bad thing was the pool was closed the whole time. They didn't make your bed or clean your room the next morning!. There really wasn't anything we did not like. The water that leaked through our bathroom ceiling from the room overhead when someone there took a shower during the night. We were awakened during our final night by the noise of water rushing down. Staff did come and offer us another room, but we didn't want to move during the night. He helped clean up the mess and said he told the people upstairs not to use the shower. No outdoor pool and tiki bar. Indoor pool was rather dark and unappealing. Sons bike was stolen from right in front of the hotel, locked to the hotel's bike rack.,. Pool area looked unwelcoming and dirty. Never used the pool due to its appearance. The pricing was high for the quality of the rooms. The rooms need to be remodeled and freshened up. Bathroom could have been cleaner and tub updated. Tub was stained and appeared dirty. Housekeeping staff was very friendly, however, they were really loud in the hallways and elevators. No complaints!. the room smelled, the room was on the first floor(did not like)close to the elevator, loud at night. the air conditioner did not get the room very cool. could not plug up blow dryer and curling iron in the same outlet. expensive needs more upscale shopping. The staff was all young and made so much noise in the morning playing around in the hallway that I had to go out and ask them to quiet down. **AVOID THE FIRST FLOOR** that's there hangout spot. The pool was dirty! Felt it should be kept up with several times a day, we saw globs of hair floating we would not get in! Would have been nice to have a hot tub or pool outside. Bed was firmer than I'm used to but overall a great experience. There was a large group of young children screaming and running up and down the hallway from about 8pm - 2am. No hotel staff members reprimanded anyone or stopped the behavior. I had to get dressed, open the door, and yell at them repeatedly. No hot tub in pool area. Parking was a bit tight. Not a problem for us but bet it is a problem during "the season". Hotel needs updated. The bathtub was stained. Internet was very slow and choppy. Air conditioner wasn't very cold. cleaning the room in a timely manner.
