Excellent hotel in a fantastic location. If you want a hotel in authentic New York then this is a great choice. The staff are friendly and you are made to feel welcome by every one.

Don't order the car service. It costs $40 more than a taxi.

Stylish hotel situated in the hart of "our" NYC Good air-conditioning (if you read the manual) Good value for money.

Slow wireless made it difficult to work in the room.

This is a friendly little hotel with small size but very efficient design. The rooms include one queen bed and (optional) street-side balcony. Every detail has been thought of to maximize the small space in a cool, modern way. The area is fantastic for a real slice of the Big Apple. Little Italy, Chinatown (and their market produce arriving across the street), SoHo shopping and galleries, the Village cafes, nyu, east side, west side- all close for walking. Great location (and fantastic rooftop), friendly helpful staff, efficient design plus complimentary wine and cheese happy hour. We loved it!

The rooftop will be developed into a bar area- maybe that's a good thing, but right now it's wonderful for enjoying the views (Empire Set, Chrysler blgs., Plus downtown Freedom Tower and lower Manhattan). I hope it doesn't become a crowded popular night spot! Weekend nights there may be late night noises in the area. But, really, everything is great at Nolitan if you are not a conventional type tourist.

Very good location. Very nice staff. Do not miss the rooftop and the amazing view. Priceless. Complimentary wine and cheese every evening as well as popcorn during the day.

They should improve noise isolation as traffic causes a lot of noise. Thus, it is very important to stay in an upper floor. Rooms are quite small as usual in NY. Very disappointed I was charged 350 USD of different taxes on top of the Booking price for 5 nights.

We loved staying in this hotel. It is well located within easy walking distance to SOHO and the East Village. Little Italy is literally behind this hotel. There are hundreds of restaurants in the surrounding areas as well as bars and nightlife. The subway is a 2 block walk away and Union square is a 20 minute walk or a 2 stop Subway ride away. It feels like you are living in a NY neighbourhood instead of a tourist trap. A 3 block stroll leads you to all the shopping wonders of SOHO. We stayed in a Queen City view room on the 9th floor and were not troubled by any noise from the street. In fact we recommend room 908. Great view of the Empire State building and the NY skyline. Rooms are small but comfortable. As this is a boutique hotel there is no massive lobby area with a list of amenities on site. We preferred the hipster feel of this place. The staff were all friendly and attentive. We were not bothered by any air conditioning noise as others seem to have been. Free wifi was great and worked all the time (we stayed for 2 weeks).

Bed was a little soft for us.

Everything is great, staff very helpful and friendly! I recommend if you want to have the experience of little Italy and china town, close to everywhere.

The Internet was cutting, need to load again every time I step in the room or hotel.

Loved the design and decor, the evening wine and cheese, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The best part was the rooftop views! Elizabeth street, Soho, Chinatown proximity were fantastic.

It would be so nice to have a little n'espresso machine in the room.

The staff is extremely polite, professional, helpful and friendly. They remember you by name. The rooms are very comfortable for their size, very modern and clean. The hotel's ambience, while trendy and modern, remains unpretentious and warm - great choice of music. The small size of the overall hotel (55 rooms) allows them to take good care of their guests. Nice location (SoHo, NoLita, Chinatown). Easy to get around by foot, and to various subway stations. Amenities include the free use of laptops/iPads, umbrellas, bicycles, and skateboards. Would definitely return to the Nolitan in the future.

The continental breakfast was a bit lacking in variety (when you eat it every day). The rooftop terrace was pretty bare - some plastic plants could be added to make it more inviting. The shower's water temperature wasn't really responsive (took a while to get the right temperature). On the 8th floor, the hotel's Wi-Fi network wasn't strong enough (only one bar out of four reached).

I always forget when in Canada how great customer service is in the US. Now I can add this reminder of top customer service to the Nolitan Hotel in NYC. From start to finish the level of service and responsiveness of staff at all levels was unparalled. Thank you and look forward to staying again and to referring our friends to your hotel. Fixtures and design of the hotel was new and modern. Very neat and tidy layout of our room. Staff was excellent.

Furniture in the restaurant. It was decorated nicely but chairs and tables were cheap and uncomfortable. Bar stools looked very uncomfortable as well. We had breakfast there every morning and it was excellent but the furniture was enough to keep us away for other meals.

- The Reception team work! They were really helpful. When my flight was delayed they upgraded me to a Corner Room for the same price. - Location - View from the upper floors rooms and the rooftop

Wine and cheese lovely evening service. Great to meet the staff and guests. Staff all v helpful and interested in your day. Love the toiletries and noted they were from a local shop. Actually bought some body wash. Lovely product.

No tea and coffee facilities in the room. Shame the restaurant is yet to offer room service breakfast in bed was on my wish list. Will be fantastic when the roof top bar is open. I would be mindful to keep it to mostly guests to keep the four star exclusive feel of the hotel.

About the room, it is a bit small considering the price, but it's very clean and stylish. I love the bed and comforter. Although we have a balcony, the street view is not attractive. The view on the roof is superb, and you can get on the roof directly by elevator. The doorman, Dochi, is cute and friendly.

Though the location is near soho, the nearby subway j trian is always under construction, so public transportation is not that convenient. Kenmare street is very busy even if in midnight, so it is a little bit noisy. And I don't know why there is always honk. The air con fan is astonishly noisy. Therefore we heated up the room and then turned it off during sleeping. Continential breakfast is not impressive: few choices.

The hotel's design, well appointed rooms, good service, great roof deck for views, very friendly staff

Traffic noise ( third floor) and the hot air central heating system was very noisy

The view from the room was amazing. Even while taking a shower you could see the Empire State Building! The location was fab, the staff amazingly helpful, and there was free popcorn and cheese & wine in the afternoon. The restaurant had wonderful food and great choice. It also had a creative & different touch to most hotels which made it a wonderful experience, e.g. there was a yoga mat in the room :-) It will def become my first choice for NY visits in the future.

The rooms are very small and we both kept knocking against furniture. It also might make an extended stay difficult as there isn't really anywhere to unpack or put the cases away.

comfortable bed, nice simple decor. lovely slippers and bathrobe. well stocked mini bar. pleasant staff. evening drinks. I stay at many hotels mainly 5 star so i liked this simple hotel. it had everything i needed for my stay.

i would rate the comfort 'excellent' but have put 'fair' only because the aircon was very noisy and kept swirching on and off and keeping me awake or waking me up. also i arrived with no toothpaste and there was none in the room.

Great location, staff very friendly

Kenmare's a busy street, a lot of traffic, a lot of honking, in the weekend till deep into the night, so even when I was on the 7th floor and was given a 'quiet room', it was hard to really sleep.
