The staff was wonderful and the whole experience was just great. The room was a perfect size and spotless. In fact my room was kept up throughout the whole day. The location was perfect. Little Italy and China Town right there. No elevator, just stairs. Not bad, they'll carry your luggae up for you. Large room, comfortable beds, friendly and extremely helpful staff -would highly recommend it - especially for the price!!!.

The only way to enter the hotel, is via stairs. This can be problematic if you have a disability which my wife does have in walking too far or up too many stairs .It was very noisy at night. I was in a room facing the street and would stay on the other side of the building the next time. toilets (but that was a general problem in NY).Traficnoise.No elevator and club nearby that played loud music until approx. 4am on weekends which disturbed our sleep, although could not be heard in all rooms. I was aware of both issues before I booked though and neither spoiled our stay. Scaffolding erected outside and thus windows not very clean. Near busy road junction.Room a bit small but was adequate for us two!. Room nearby major street with loud traffic noise all night long. This is the price you pay for the location and the price level of the hotel.I wish there wasn't quite as much noise. Maybe if they sealed the windows it wouldn't be so bad. The stairs.slightly noisey from street but that is Manhattan. Smell of disinfectant could be reduced. Suggest use better smelling cleaning liquids. Hard to get hot water.Friday and Saturday night was loud. There must be a dance club or something under or next to the hotel with loud music until 3 AM. The single rooms are small, just a bed with a bit of room round theedges, but for the price it has to be expected. The rooms looking ontothe street are noisy, but this in unavoidable in this area of town andthey do have quieter rooms that face onto the backyard of the hotel.No phone in room, no breakfast. First room I was given was still great value for money, but was so cramped and the bathroom was so small. Ask for bigger room. Even though the price is very good for NY, it is still pretty much money for a really low level room.My friend complained of the street noise, although I didn't notice it. Also- no elevators- not for the stair challenged people. There were a lot of stairs and no lift so not suitable for everyone.There had some renovation/ re-building works when I was staying between 27th January- 1th February. So noisy in the morning. But there was no any problem cleaning. Very noisy neighborhood. No elevator. The noise was rather loud from both inside (other rooms) and outside. The location of the hotel is somewhat misleading since it is not really located in Soho but more in Chinatown.No refrigerator and microwave. thin walls, you could hear pretty well what people doing, hahahahahahaha ;-). The street the hotel is on is very noisy especially since there is a fire station next door. room + windows= very noisy and no elevators (difficult for luggage)and rooms without windows no noise but difficult for me to stay in!.
