The Guest House was very clean and comfortable and the staff couldn't do enough for you. They really go the extra mile eg: complimentary bottles of water, tea and coffee topped up during the day, chocolates at the side of the bed, turning the bed down and turning the lights on in the evening.
Even in large hotels we have not received this sort of attention it is more like the attention you receive on a cruise ship.

We were looked after by Valentina and Richard. They are the kindest
couple we've ever stayed with in a guest house or hotel. I'm a
coeliac and lactose intolerant and they totally took care of my needs
even making a gf carrot cake which was devine. Breakfast was fantastic,
the hotwater bottle in the bed was much appreciated after dancing on
high heels and being out in the cold weather. It was immaculate and very
comfortable, we would highly recommend it and will stay there again if
we have to st.
This B&B was every way.
Our hosts were very friendly and helpful and made us fell most welcome. They went out of their way to make our stay pleasant.
Breakfast was superb with many options available and beautifully prepared.
The rooms are beautifully decorated, clean and comfortable. The location is quiet and convenient.
Would recommend this B&B as one of the best I have visited and would to return to use as base for golfing trip to Lancashire.
The owners were lovely. Tea and coffee on arrival and they also gave us a lift to the party that we were going to as it was raining - very gracious.

Stayed in Southport many times before. This was our first time at the Norwood and we would definately stay here again. The hosts were lovely and very welcoming on arrival offering us a lovely hot cup of tea and home made biscuists. The room we stayed in was lovely and spacious with a spotlless bathroom. The breakfast was fabulous with everything as it should be and more.
We would return again.
Richard and Valentina were so welcoming and friendly they made our stay very enjoyable. Our rooms were very comfortable and clean, and the freshly cooked breakfast was excellent. The Norwood is located on a quiet road and perfectly located for both the shops and the prom. If we find ourselves needing accommodation in Southport again, we will certainly contact Richard and Valentina first.
The location was excellent for both Lord Street and the Promenade.
The room and facilities within the hotel were excellent and the attention to detail was lovely. The Hotel owners were welcoming and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was very enjoyable with a wide range to choose from.
If visiting Southport again I would certainly use the Norwood.
Wonderful hosts, good sized room, spotlessly clean, light and airey, with a sofa, as well a lovely comfortable bed in the room and nice little touches, such as a bed turndown and chocolates by the bedside.
Breakfast was requested very early as I needed to be away at 6.30am the next morning, absolutely no problem with my hosts and a first class breakfast it was too.
Hosts were extremely accommodating. I stayed for 2 nights with my 25 year old daughter. Spotlessly clean, excellent breakfast, very good location just off Lord ST for shopping but just as close to seafront. We stayed on a chilly weekend in May. Hot water bottles placed in our beds which was a nice touch. Will definitely stay there again.
2nd visit...absolutely wonderful hospitality...it was only supposed to be a b/b...wow...invited to take coffee and home made cake twice..on the day of leaving alowed to leave car parked there all day and then more coffee/cake when we returned to pick car up...this couple (Richard/Valentina) exceeds all expected of a B/B at this price.
Richard and Valentina are the best of hosts. They are both lovely and nothing is too much trouble. The Norwood is comfortable, clean and well presented. The breakfast was very good and plentiful. As my husband is from the area, we are regular visitors to Southport and will definitely be back. We have found a little gem!!.

It was a small thing and purely a matter of taste but we didn't like the way the mushrooms were cooked and neither did the other guests on our table. However the gentleman on the next table loved them!
