From the time I arrived at Bay Tree House, I was readily made to feel welcome by the friendly Cleo.To my pleasant surprise,I was upgraded to a room overlooking the lake, which was great! all reviews » The exterior is just like any other B and B but the rooms are amazing. Everything has been carefully thought about. A full mini bar with honesty system for payment. A proper jar of coffee with fresh milk in fridge. Snacks. A very comfortable bed. All modern bathroom with top of range toiletries. The information book in the room is so professionally done. DVDs. The breakfast is the best you will get with top quality bacon etc. even the mushrooms are 'real' I think those who regularly stay in ho. The breakfasts were to a very high standard and it was all the other little touches - their welcome, the range of teas, biscuits and filter coffee; the relatively inexpensive minibar, in a well stocked fridge in your room; not to mention a DVD player, with a fair choice of DVD's to play. On the second morning, I asked for a specific breakfast, that was not on their menu and this was no problem and delicious. All in all, Leigh and Cleo offered the finest accommodation. So much did we enjoy our s. Our room at The Bay Tree House was the most presentable, the best supplied with goodies and without doubt the cleanest we have ever had at a B&B. The breakfast is a gourmet delight from the smoothie to the continental choices onto the best Hot Breakfast we have had anywhere - all delivered with military precision at the requested time each morning! We left very relaxed after our three day weekend stay, for which credit must go to the friendly hosts Cleo and Leigh and their staff. I stay away probably three nights a week on average in the UK and have have good experiences and bad, but I must say that my stay at the Bay Tree was about one of the best I have ever had. The attention to detail is fantastic, from toiletries, coffees, linen and to in the room and an amazing breakfast. All in all a great place to stay and is 100% recommended. I will definitely stay again. The hosts and staff were really friendly and helpful. The room was exceptionally clean and the breakfast was cooked to perfection, served nice and hot and the quality of the food was high. It was also just round the corner to the main attractions I was going for e.g. shops and theatre. I'd go there again any time I'm visiting Southport and know I was in for a lovely time. We liked the package. Room and beds were very comfortable surpassed only by the amazing variety and quality of the breakfasts offered both meat and veggie. Proprietors and staff very friendly and helpful. Cleo and Leigh set themselves a very high standard and achieve it with grace and humour. We thank them very much for a memorable stay. Cleo & Leigh had lots of added extras well stocked and reasonably priced mini bar, free snacks(smarties & Jelly Tots) A variety of different teas - fresh milk !! lots of toiletries, bath robe & slippers and a huge selection for breakfast!! DVDs in room just like a 5* hotel just friendlier. The personal and friendly touches by the owners make you feel very welcome and your stay that much more relaxing. The level of service and quality of the rooms and breakfast are also to be highly recommended. Overall a quality offer, not to be missed !.
