This room is in the gay-bar in the middle of the Canal street with cabare-parties downstairs! with big ecotic poster on the wall with naked men on it! what could possibly be better??? though the music is too loud at nights, you never care about it because you're at the parties))

Excellent location if you're going clubbing around Canal Street, good room, good breakfast.
Perhaps the Bookings.com website should warn you that not suitable on Friday nights if you're not going clubbing - the rooms are directly above a cabaret show.all reviews »
brilliantly located and good sized clean room with nice clean white linen and towels. Decent bed.
Good breakfast, though supposedly only available from 8.30(!) the cook/waiter was happy to oblige from 8.15.

the guy who served us breakfast was very friendly giving us very good tips of where to go and what was going on in manchester.
Grate location. Grate designed room. Very comfortable mattress. Resonable price include full English breakfast served till 10:30am- I think is a compensation of inconvenience of karaoke ;-) !!!.

well, we'd been living there for 3 days but no one ever clean our room
this is not a god thing, yeah.
I don't like having to leave my room for loo/bathroom down the corridor.
Had it been Fri/Sat with parties etc(and there was plenty of evidence they take place) it might have been v noisy.
Karaoke one floor below finshed just befor might night. If I have to up earaly another day this lotle inconvenience will be unacceptable. Certain singers was make this event even worst. In my impression menagment shoud provide stopers or at list cheese like in "Allo Allo" when Édith start singing, René give freee samples of cheese... After all in my case I would and i will recommended this hotell.
im not really moaning but ,no women! I shuda maybe looked n read a bit more about the place ,I did book in hurry,ha ha.
although it was clean and tidy, the stair case, walls and carpets could do with updating, but all in all, i was more than happy.
When I arrived to the bar, said I had a reservation, and letsbookhotel.com had not informed REM hotel about my reservation, not the hotels fault...but someones! The man behind bar gave me room almost as a good will gesture!!! Even though I had a reservation and had been paid for his response "*sigh*, i guess you can have room 3" charming!.

The disco in the hotel was a bit noisy till 2am, but it was to be expected due to location and it being a night club. Not complaining.
Wouldn't like to stay w/e's to much noise then,could do with a little refurb inside.
Stairwells are too dark.
Wireless service in the room was very poor which was very frustrating. Had to go to another pub to use my computer. I would not stay there again unless they improve their wireless service.
There are only about 8 rooms however; both toilets were out of toilet paper...yuk!.

Drag queen karaoke until 2am. Might as well have been in the bar. No toilet in room and an odd choice of decor for hetro couples. Seedy.
The heat in the bedroom, though the fan was effective and had the bonus of creating enough white noise to block out street sounds.
my bed was not change during my whole stay. and I did not get fresh towels either.

Poor beds squeeky, unclean basin in room and toilet and shower facilities very poor unclean and more suited to a camp site.
The room was tiny and the bed was uncomfortable. On Friday and Saturday nights they have karaoke in the bar downstairs and it's impossible to sleep before 2am. They have one tiny window which hardly opens and with no air conditioning the room was stifling.
As it is a bar, they play very loud music until late. not good idea to stay there if you want to have rest.

The place was a real crap. The reception was located at the gay bar downstairs and the music was playing extremely loud until midnight every day. This is not a hotel but rather a hostel with private rooms.

I popped out at about 1 am to get something to eat, I admit to being
rather drunk! I forgot my key and was locked out and spent the night
shivering in the doorway! There was no night porter, There is no
reception either, just a bar. The next morning they told me it was my
own fault and where very unsympathetic! Never again avoid this place if
at all possible!!!!.

Terrible - not a hotel. It's a bar with a few rooms above it. The bar is unbelievably loud and you can hear everything (the room literally vibrates) until 2am.
