Peacef, no noises at night (ie children, voices, walking etc). The ease in wich we were able to come and go. Proximity to attractions. The exterior of the hotel is poor - not quite sure it is a 4 star rating. Small points: knob kept falling off wardrobe door, noisey service liftadjacent to our room and hard water residue build up in taps led towater spraying every time they were used. No list of phone numbers for reception etc. Shower was a bit weak and not easy to adjust. The air conditioning, while effective, was a stand-alone unit and a bit obtrusive. Sink leaking, not so new, bed not so big. discsription of room misleading they did not do deluxe twin rooms. we didn t have minibar and the bathroom is not the best point of the hotel. Breakfast selection was poor. Also, not having the english breakfast at the buffet (only on order) meant excessive waiting times (in my case, aprox. 15 minutes). The bar was very expensive. I was 'upgraded' to an apartment because the hotel was obviously full. The apartment was tired and the bed was awful. Only stayed one night so it sufficed.Very noisy!. Very noisy throughout the night - and not from outside noise travels between rooms/floors. No idea how to make tea - boiling water is essential. Bar and lounge area. Lighting levels too high, not comfortable, furniture looked utilitarian, carpet and decor awful. They hadn't allocated a twin room as requested. They initially tried to offer a lesser room without offering a reduction in price. Or a double room for me and my daughter!!!. The rooms are very small. Room not ready on time, had to upgrade to get in at 2pm. Shower not really effect enough. On arrival I was asked to pay for the room and informed the price I was quoted did not include V.A.T. Although I queried this the receptionist refused to alter the cost. An hour and a half before we were due to go to the function in the evening my wife decided to have a bath. The hot tap head turned but no water came out. I tried phoning the reception but to no avail.The accomodation was poor, the shower head was not fixed to the wall, the taps leaked all the time, the decor was tired and dated. Cleanliness of room. Carpets did not appear to have benn hoovered. Toilet was OK, but not sparkling clean. Drainage from washhand basin was very poor. Plumbing noises from room above was dreadful.We arrived on Friday but were not informed that there was no hot water in the rooms!!at 11.30pm we were eventually moved to an apartment which is in an adjacent building, but did have hot water. However the kitchen did not have any cold water!! This trip was to celebrate my wifes 60th birthday - the hotel completely destroyed it. The cleaning staff were very noisy and woke us up from 7am. Some of the other staff appeared not to be considerate and acted like we were putting them out. The breakfasts inproved slightly each day but was of poor standard.the bathroom was dirty and out of date, the shower didn't run properly, the toilet didn't flush properly. The reception staff could have been better mannered. quite weakly functioning facilities in the toilet, having no hairdryer although said so on your web site, no breakfast served or offered although paid for it, bad smell in the room.

By road: From Hyde Park Corner take Grosvenor Place to the junction with Bressenden Place. Follow the one-way system along to Bressenden Place. At the junction with Buckingham Palace Road, the hotel is on the right facing the junction. Ncp car parking is available nearby at an additional charge.

BY RAIL/TUBE: The nearest Underground station is Victoria, accessible via the Victoria, District and Circle lines. From Victoria station follow the signs to Buckingham Palace. Cross over two sets of traffic lights. The hotel is on the right and the entrance is on Bressenden Place.

By AIR: From Gatwick Airport - take the Gatwick Express to Victoria station. From Heathrow Airport - take the Heathrow Express to Paddington and then the Underground to Victoria.
