The breakfast was good, lots of food although not the kind of full English that I am used to. Obviously not cooked by anybody who has ever eaten a full English breakfast. But it was nice. I liked the fact that our room was on the ground floor, and we did not have to climb stairs.very friendly staff, perfectly located for sightseeing. Friendly, helpful staff. Breakfast room was a little too 'compact' for my liking.I did not expect soap or shampoo but I could have done with at least a plastic beaker in the bathroom.... The bedside lamp was not working.I would have preferred an electric shower rather than a mixer shower over the bath. I will stay at the hotel again, but not in this room. it's cheap and it also looks and feels cheap. Too too cold during the night (impossible to close the little window in the bathroom) ; the bedroom was a little dusty and the blanket quite dirty. The breakfast was awful. The whole building needs to be completely refurbished.Bed have not been refreshed each day. breakfast. Cold room and horrible breakfast!. the dining room too small. small room, small sized double bed (did not see other rooms, so this may be a one off in the hotel). thin walls between rooms, poor isolation. Hotel was very very cold, and heating went off at night. no soap, no shampoo, no extra towel (they gave us when we asked for), no remote control, cannot adjust tv volume, too thin walls, too small washstand, dirty bed cover and carpet. smell of indian food cooking throughout hotel. For starters-The staff were rude and we were woken up by the staff who were making as much noise as possible at around 6am!!! Our room was in a basement room with no window and it was in no way an acceptable cleanliness- we were too afraid to get under the covers as they were filthy! We were also right next to the kitchen which had mouldy fruit on full view and the hallway stank of mould.hygiene and welcome. Our room right next door to the kitchen and we were woken up at 5am by the kitchen staff, the hall lights were switched on a 5am which shone straight under the doors, staff laughing and joking in the kitchen around midnight. We booked two twin rooms and one single and we were given two family rooms. The first room we went to was still being occupied. Overall not a very satisfactory experience.
