I stayed here during my week in London. I booked one of the beds in the 6 bedroom female dorm, and was pleasantly surprised. Beds and linen were clean and rather comfortable, shower was clean and quite alright considering how much we paid, the ladies in my room were all quite nice - I persinally didn't get to interact with them too much as I spent most of my days outside. There's free wifi nearly everywhere. Breakfast was basic - toast or cereal and tea/coffee, but it was enough for us. The lad.
all reviews » The staff are amazing from reception to the lady's that clean been here for almost a week now still here for another week..For all the people that have complained about this place please note this is no 5 star hotel and it doesn't pretend to be for £25 a nite getting clean sheets room and bathroom cleaned every morning and a basic breakfast I say that's a good deal for London not to mention the location I come to London every 4 weeks and I think I jus found my second home!! As for the narrow st. I arrived at 10pm after flying in from Gatwick and called the desk to inform them I would arrive after usual check in hours and the staff was more than happy to make special arrangements to wait up for me. The individual was pleasant, friendly and not once acted inconvenienced as you might expect. The room itself is very basic but completely reasonable for the low price. Location is decent, 5 minutes from Gloucester Rd tube, 10 from Earls Court and just off Cromwell Road where Lorenzo's Italian. I really enjoyed my stay in thus hotel. Thr area is very safe and nice. 5 mins walkfrom the Gloucester road underground st. 15 mins walk from my favorite museums (V&A, Natural History, Science). The stuff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good as they have the fridge and you can store your food there. Wi-fi at all floors. They even had iron and towels if you need) I'll book my stay here again and will advise it to my friends. ps The decoration of rooms really impressed me- th. We had a room for four friends and we were surprised by how spacious and homely it was, and it perfectly suited our needs. The beds are comfortable and separated, not bunk-beds as you will find in many hostels. Attached to our room was a small shower room (with nice hot water!), and there were two bathrooms on our floor so there are plenty of facilities available. Location is great, 5 minutes walk down the road from the tube station in a nice area of London. The room was extremely quiet, facing. We booked quadruple room with shared shower, and got surprised having a new, own bathroom. Position is great. Room was very clean - we got sheets and clean towels everyday. We could use kitchen and make coffe all day. Staff was very helpfull and kind. Our plane left in the evening, so we checked out in the morning and left baggage at the hotel's storage while exploring London. When we returned for it, we even got farewell coffee. I was in room n. 2, that was very big, comfortable, with an huge bathroom. I should have been with four other ladies, but there were just three other beds. The hotel was clean and nice. Staff was very kind. Basic breakfast, but it was ok to me. Location was perfect, close to the underground and to the city centre. I would suggest it for a night or two, not for a long period. Hotel is in great location, close to tube and nice neighbourhood. We arrived quite late so reception called us if we will get to hotel on time or if she should arrange keys for us in other way. We get reall small room for first night but receptionins offered us to change it next day after guests will leave another bigger room...really great service. - the staff was very kind and helpfull, we asked them if it was possible to check out 2 hours later and that was not a problem at all they said! - we had our own amazing douche, very clean and looked brandnew! - we could use the kitchen - beautifull neighbourhood - underground, bus, supermarket, starbucks are all 5 minutes walking. The staff is very nice and friendly. The reception girl offered us a four beds room on ground floor when she saw I have two young children. It gives us lots of convience. The hotel is old but very clean. The breakfast is great. You toast your own bread just like home. The kitchen is not big but got everything you need. We stayed there for 5 nites and the staff tried to make you feel comfortable. Breakfast was nice with fresh milk, butter, bread & cereals. The place is clean, location fantastic, courteous & friendly staff, room has homely feeling with nice pictures. Will stay there when I visit London again. Newly-renovated bathroom. The room was clean although the features of the room such as the cupboard wasn't in their best condition. Also I booked for a male dorm for 5 but got the room all to myself. All that for GBP25. The use of the shared bathroom wasn't a problem. The staffs are really friendly and helpful. The place is clean and they have good comfortable rooms. The best of this hotel is the reception people and waitress due to they are mainly spanish and really friendly.The position of this hotel is not bad becuase the metro station is not so far. Great central location for the Albert Hall museums, Knightsbridge (Harrods), tubes, also has free Wi-Fi which is a bonus. Cheap for the location - you get what you pay for. Kitchen closed at some point during the evenings, so that we weren't able to use it to prepare dinner as we always arrived past 10 pm at the end of each day. No safety lockers in the rooms, but it didn't pose an issue seeing as none of our belongings were stolen, and reception also offer to lock your valubales in their office during the day/night. WiFi didn't always work inside the rooms, but that's a rather insignificant inconvinience that didn't bother me too much. Not a thing best affordable accommodation in London period. The place isn't luxurious, but the price is right for what you get in London. The tall staircase and lack of elevator could be a problem for older guests or those with luggage. as you could notice, my 'like'-post was quite big, so i would say that i didn't notice anything uncomfortable or unpleasant. Couldn't play music using the wi-fi though but that's fair enough.). It should be noted that if you have a lot of big bags with you there is no lift and a lot of stairs, but it is manageable. The breakfast room is on the small side which means it got full quite quickly. Matresses are uncomfortable, but we got more soft bedspread, so it was quickly solved too. Breakfast is slim (jam, butter, bread, coffee, milk). The w.c. outside the room (but I knew it in advance, so not a big problem). We stayed for 3 nights and every morning was for breakfast toast butter, jam and peanut butter... - breakfast - It looks more like a bed and breakfast not really a hotel. - we had to share the toilet ( but we knew that before). Moving heavy luggages up the stairs. Nothing bad to say about the hotel. We had lots of heavy luggage as we travel from far of 14 hours flight and we had to carry our luggages from ground floor to 4th floor. Narrow stairs. - They need lockers. Unlike most hostels you have to leave stuff in their safe because they don't have any lockers. Shower needs more ventilation. Spring mattress was a bit uncomfortable but I did sleep well. Milk at breakfast just in the milk bottle on table - jug would have been better. A little bit small and dark room (but it wasn't such a problem), stairs (yeah it was hard). the stairs were quite large, made it feel like a workout sometimes to get to the room. The walls were a bit dirt and sometimes the other guests were too loud at a time when we were trying to sleep after a long day. Could not sleep the first night as room was far too hot, heating turned too high. As it was shared accommodation in dormitory did not say anything. The receptionists appeared too professional and better suited for an executive office.The stairs were very steep I should expect that a lift could be installed at least mid-way. Breakfast was the same everyday, and there werent so many options, however it seems to be popular in europe poor breakfast. Warm water didn't work in the evenings, I've had to have a shower with cold water. Rooms are very small with old furniture,but that's ok for that price. the position of receiption is not as good as the lougage is too heavy or large. Our did not have a toilet in the room but that was not really a problem. Poor breakfast. The bed is narrow. Dining room a bit small. the narrowness of the beds, the choices for lighting. I couldn`T say that I didn`T like something, just the only thing is that there is no elevator in the building. walls were very thin, could hear everything that my neighbors did and said. Stairs and uneven floors. Creaking floor boards. Breakfast could have been more substantial - it was just toast, cereal and tea/coffee. My mattress wasn't comfy. steep stairs. but that's ok, I'm young !. .Breakfest from 8 a.m. :) Matrace wasn´t so comfortable, but for 4 nights o.k. I realy expected for showers to work in my room. We only had the option of a shared shower so that wasnt ideal. Not having a toillet in the room but that explicity on the website. small kitchen, bathrom is not in room. But you know this, so it's not. nothing. Facility older but noticed many buildings older & designed like this in London. Our room was not ready until 2.30 pm because of some refurbishment in the room. Having 2 little children that was not easy that they need nap. There were no TV in the room, no cattle, carpet was not clean. There were some workers doing some work outside the room on 3rd flour and there were no blinds, so no privacy at all! The breakfast only 2 kind of cereal and toast with 2 kind of jam. It was ok for 1 night stay, but would not stay again for such price. Breakfast is poor to provide only the toast, milk , oats n coffee everyday. Milk is sometimes not enought to provide. The rooms were not bad.The main problem was the bathroom.I was in a room with 4 people and we had a bathroom with no toilet, for this reason I must go to look for a toilet in another floor of the building.It is unconfortable. Shared bathroom, we did know this in advance. There was a washbasin in our room but the taps were constantly trickling.
