The welcome was lovely when we arrived and everything clearly explained. The room was fine, the bed comfortable and the bathroom facilities good. There were tea and coffee making facilities, but we had to ask for more tea bags and milks as only two were provided. It is very centrally situated and easy to reach by both bus and train. We loved being so close to everything and only a walk away from what we wanted to see and do. We were blessed with good weather. The staff were happy to look aft.
all reviews » Excellent location for the O2 and also for quick and easy access to the city of London and London Eye, an excellent 'city' location with the feel of not being in the city. Wonderful restaurants and pubs in easy walking distance. On a good day it is highly recommended to take a river cruise to Westminster using the 24 hour Red rover ticket which allows unlimited 'hop on and off' travel. Despite an unfortunate power cut the staff were very helpful in dealing with the problem. We have already boo. the room was very clean. the bed was extremely comfortable. the shower/bathroom was immaculate and easy to use. towels lovely and fluffy and clean. the staff went out of their way to ensure I was looked after. their professional yet friendly manner put me at my ease. it was obvious that their customer service training was put to good use. nothing was too much trouble for them. look forward to a return journey. all these important factors for a very competitive budget. Enjoyable stay, very clean, the staff are extremely friendly and very helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Its a short ride to the 02 arena, although, I had a taxi booked, the girls on the desk, told us there was a bus service, if we preferred.Cafe Rouge is attached to hotel, again, very friendly service, the staff were always polite and friendly, and welcoming. Location is excellent for a visit to the Cutty Sark,. Nice quiet room in a pleasant hotel. The room was clean and comfortable and seemed to be recently renovated with friendly staff. The restaurant attached to the hotel was great and the neighborhood was excellent with lots of shops and restaurants. Near the observatory and with the DLR and waterferry wight nearby you could access all of London in no time. The position was perfect for my daughter running the marathon. While she was relaxing we looked arount the area which turned out to be the perfect place for us all. Lots to see and the market was first class. We also appreciated being able to keep one room longer than normal so she could get a shower before travelling home on the Sunday. + Perfect location, just 2-3 walking minutes from the dlr station (Cutty Sark). Also bus stops close-by. The stations are in zone 2 of the London public transport network. + very quiet and tidy rooms, no street noise etc. + breakfast option not necessary, since a lot of other options available in 1 minute radius from the hotel. It's hard to fault this chain if all you're looking for is a base and a bed in a specific location. Price fair enough for central(ish) London. The adjacent Cafe Rouge is pleasant. Neither a criticism or praise, but I'm always amused by the Ibis bathroom 'pod' - a self-contained unit they just drop in to the corner of the room. At no point on letsbookhotel.com website or the follow up confirmation email I received did it tell me i had to pay £10 to park whilst being a guest in the hotel. Please be aware of this extra cost and people need pre warning before booking as it raises the cost of a cheap hotel to a one inline with other hotels. This is one of the few hotels in London that allows pets and the surcharge was very reasonable. Air-conditioning in the rooms was much appreciated as we stayed during the mini heatwave when temperatures were mid 30s. The staff were friendly and helpful and the rooms were clean. The service at the hotel is great! They help you with directions at any time of the day. The bed was really comfortable, the staff very helpful and the location was really good especially for us who went for a concert at the O2. I'd recommend it to anyone!. The area was quiet with shops and restaurants nearby plus the DLR station was within a five minute walking distance. The O2 was only one tube stop away. Love this hotel! Will stay here again. Super comfy beds and big spacious rooms. Perfect in every way. Staff was first rate, very responsive. Front desk personnel were efficient, helpful, and very friendly. The room was modest but suitable for the very reasonable price. Property is well-placed to use the Thames Clipper system into Central London. Ideally sited for visiting Cutty Sark and all other places if interest in Greenwich. The beds are everything they claim to be in adverts. Very comfortable. I love the location. The room is a good size and I had a bath/shower which was great. Bed was very comfortable and being able to adjust room temperature is brilliant. Free wi-fi is new since my last stay, that is a bonus. Great location for Central London but at a sensible price. Great parking. The beds are some of the best you will sleep on. Quiet location at night yet a bustling town during the day. DLR into London Bridge every 10 min!!. Would highly recommend to anyone. We stayed here twice once before our Expat Tour and the night we got back from our tour... The Rooms on both occasions were very clean and spacious and we would definately stay here again if the opportunity arose. Beds were very comfortable. Clean rooms. Staff pleasant and keen to help. Rooms had all necessary items; TV, Internet,hairdryer. Liked the desk space provided. Really very nice bonus as not many places have that. Ibis Greenwich was near Greenwich Picturehouse where we were going to watch a play that night. There were also grocery stores and restaurants nearby. And the Royal Maritime Museum was a short walk from the hotel. Very good value for Monday, excellent location. The room was clean and compact but just the right size for us. The room had air-con which was great as it was a very hot weekend. Will definatley stop here again. Since our last visit you have upgraded the rooms, and done a good job. It is handy for visiting our family and wonderfull market. Plenty of choice`s for places to eat etc. Really good value, will come again. The whole feel of the place was so lovely and welcoming. There's a two-tier internet access system, free 'slow' connection and paid-for 'faster'. For a premium price hotel the rooms were extremely basic and a little tired. The bathroom in particular could do with a makeover. The price is more reflective of its location rather than its luxury. Room always smelled a bit musty on first entering, though this smell seemed to disperse almost at once. The tub should have safety rails installed, both horizontal and vertical. There was no soap in the bathrooms. :(. Nothing really. The carpet was a bit worn and tired looking. The lack of radio and TV channels. A freeview package would be great instead of Channels 1-5, BBC news 24 and a film channel. Only two radio channels Capitol and BBC radio 4!! I guess these are minor 'didn't likes'. Nothing. Its great for city trips!!. We stayed on three occasions. 1 and 2. Room was very small - too small to unpack suitcases.A couple need space for this when travelling. 3. Room for handicapped people - why is the mirror in the bathroom so low? Not all handicapped people are in wheelchairs. One person in the couple is handicapped, the other needs mirror at normal height. Just make the mirror larger overall. The corridors were too narrow and the rooms a bit small. N/A. "The weather"!!. This is going to sound petty but please could you think of adding another waste bin in the main bedroom where one makes the coffee, we had to keep going to get the one in the bathroom. In the end we used a plastic carrier bag. Also only one extra pillow, got another from reception. No ice machine!. Nothing at all. Everything was excellent. Some noise from outside. But not a major issue. If you want to avoid that request a room at the back of the hotel. Additional signposting is required to identify the hotel upon approach Breakfast was too expensive for what was provided. A very limited amount of tea bags, sugar and milk were in the room although more could be obtained from reception. Pity we had to pay to park the car but then we were in a tourist area!. My colleague stayed on the 6th floor in a twin basic and was very disappointed both with cleanliness and the noisy neighbours. Nothing. Very tight parking (extra ££s) & no guarantee of a place. Might be better if you could book a place on room booking...? At least you'd remove the uncertainty. There was nothing we didn't like. Charges for parking, internet and tv. Breakfast very pricey and not good. Room was a bit small. No room for luggage and only very small wardrobe space. Only problem was the lack of a rubbish bin in the bedroom which was a minor inconvenience and one which I am sure could be remedied. Tea bags had to be carried through to bathroom!. There was nothing I disliked.
