We were moved to the Harbourside hotel which for the money we payed it was ok. We ot a complamentary breakfast. room was clean and comfortable and close to railway station, staff were helpful. The staff very helpful and meals a good value. The peace and quiet. Close to ferry and ship inn. Location. The hotel is very old fashioned, need moderised. I fell going up the stairs as when I held onto the banister it moved. The room we stayed in had also just been painted that day, the paint was still wet and the curtains were down and lying on a chair. The breakfast was average, was ok for free but would not have paid for it. all reviews »
They could not find our booking but did give us the booking.com rate.One of the beds was broken, and when we told staff, they said they wouldlook into it. However we did stay for another night, and they let uspick the room of our choice. Would have been better service if breakfastwas included in the price. Other than that it was clean, staff werecourteous and friendly, and we would go back again. Bright street lights and/or thin curtains. Noisy guests arriving at midnight (sound carrying through walls), damp patch on ceiling above my bed, hole in back of wardrobe, tiny shower/toilet.
