Really friendly, helpful, considerate people running this hotel. We received a very personal welcome and I don't think they could do more to make our stay perfect. We felt like 'family' after our stay at Braidmead House.
Our room had everything we needed to prepare for the wedding we wanted to go (including a tall mirror)!
The hotel is in an immaculate condition and is beautifully designed. We had a double room with a king bed, and it was still quite roomy.

A high grade private hotel, not your average B+B. A traditional stone town house beautifully upgraded, smartly furnished bedrooms, smart ensuite bathrooms, generously roomy guest lounge, warm genuine welcome. Very high quality matresses! Excellent for an Ayrshie weekend or a stopover en route for a west highlands holiday, or for early/late flights from Prestwick. Perfect for wedding guests. Liked the no fuss single card key for room and front door, and easy parking.

We loved everything about Braidmead House . Couldn't fault a thing. Beautifully restored house, spotlessly clean. Wonderful hosts, nothing was too much trouble. Bedroom was lovely with everything you could want. Lots of choice for breakfast all cooked perfectly to order . We have travelled the world and been to many lovely places but this B & B is up there with the best.
If you are going to Irvine you must stay here it is a gem. We used Irvine as a base for travelling to Glasgow etc.
Found this amazing guest house/hotel completely by accident as Glasgow was completely full. As a regular business traveller I had slight apprehension at staying outside my usual big chain hotels but as soon as I arrived I was hugely impressed at the fit out of the house and the friendliness of the owners. I would recommend braidmead to anyone, the place was practically perfect.
I would recommend Braidmead unreservedly if you are looking to stay in the Irvine area. While it may not have the facilities or the bigger hotels, the quality of the accomodation and breakfast are better than any of the hotels I've tried locally. The rooms are stylish, clean, excellent size and very comfortable
The owners/staff are also really friendly.

I stay in a lot of hotels and this has to be one of the friendliest and best hotels I have ever stayed in.
We received a warm welcome from Diana and were quickly settled into our room. We had been upgraded to the large room which was a nice surprise and lovely to stay in. The room was immaculate and very comfortable. Breakfast was awesome and there was a range of choices. We were even
given some cd's of Scottish music.
Modern facilities with plenty of space and rooms to relax in down stairs, staff extremely friendly & very helpful, we had been to five guest houses this week on our travels, this was the best by far, breakfast Wow it's a great central point for everywhere, ask about the ship pub for evening meals,.
The place has been renovated to an extremely high standard, the owners are fantastic, more than willing to sit and chat about places to go and where to eat. The breakfast was excellent, all in all the stay was superb and we'll certainly be returning. Lovely place, lovely building, lovely people...
Friendly warm reception on arrival, shower was powerfull and room was spotless with comfy bed. Welcoming pubs nearby and traditional chip shop that wraps chips in newspaper. Beach a short drive away. Breakfast was a winner and there was plenty of it, Would definately stay again.

Lovely rooms and very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. This is a Bed and Breakfast hotel so don't expect more than this but what they do, they do brilliantly. Fantastic breakfast leaves you set up for the day. Highly recommeneded.
I just needed somewhere to sleep before catching the ferry in the morning. Lovely welcome, great help when lost, friendly and really nice people with beautiful facilities which justify the price. Late arrival option was greatly appreciated.

A very small thing really and not a big issue - would have been nice to have had a bar rather than walking down into town at night - not too far to walk though.

There was absolutely nothing that we didn't like or enjoy about our stay.
No bar to relax in and wind down after a long days drive, had to go local for a drink to watch the football, but only a 2 min walk to nearest bars & restaurant.
No bath mat in en suite - perhaps this was an oversight.
The only piece of constructive criticism I would give would be to ask for a heavy curtain in the bedroom.
The blinds didn't block out the morning light and I would have slept better if the room had been darker.
It wouldn't stop me going back though.
