Very helpful staff, clean and well presented rooms, quiet environment. One of the best hotels I've stayed at for this price, would definitely return. Very comfortable room and bed.Great night's sleep. Room service fantastic, meal incredible. Probably the best hotel meal I have ever had, fillet steak is perfect and dessert was very indulgent and pleasing to the eye and stomach. Staff and very comfortable accommodatrion, I only wish we had the opportunity to explore the leisure facilities as they looked good. Overall do not be misled with mixed reviews this is a winner ! Position of hotel - convenient to Grassmarket. I also liked the fact that the housekeeping staff weren't knocking on the door by 8 a.m. ! We got to have a decent lie in.The location was great. The room was spacious, clean and had everything I needed.I especially liked the fact that the room had a bath and a separate shower. The staff were very friendly,the facilites were excellent and it was easy walking distance to Princes Street.We enjoyed the amenities offered by the hotel and the location was superb for walking in Edinburgh. The hotel and staff were excellent. Heard a bit of noise from other rooms especially showers and toilets flushing. But didnt take from the good points!. closet space was very limited and room oddly did not have any drawers. They did not provide shower cap. There wasn't a washbasin in the toilet so you had to walk to the main bathroom to wash your hands. Ladies changing room too small and no privacy for changing.The carparking arrangements. Location is not so convenient for airport connection bus. Not enough drawer and cupboard space. food very expensive eg breakfast. We couldn't get the mini bar fridge to work but we wouldn't have used anything from it anyway. Paying in advance was not convenient but understandable given peakseason. Room service food quality and service was a bit average, couldbe improved.The price we paid for the room was alot for 1 night but we understood as it was NYE and we had changed our dates about. . Can't think of anything!. Would have like breakfast included!. Should not have to pay for internet wifi.
