  Excellent staff ( Yildirim and Ofuk). The staff was supper nice. The owner, Aziz, was helpful and tried to help ASAP. Very close to Galata Tower and Galata bridge and to the Bosphoros. Walking distance to cruises, bazaar, and historic sites. Metro station Sishane at walking distance.   We have stayed at Faik Pasha for two nights. This hotel is an excellent option in İstanbul. We chose this hotel due to the Taksim square protests. It is very close to İstiklal Street but it is located in very secure region of Taksim. The room was very well appointed, real boutique hotel style. In summary, everything is excellent. - Great location. Easy to move from there to visit the city and rich of bar pub cafe and nightlife. Nearby Karakoy a dinamic district with many lovely restaurant and the great istanbul modern, a museum you might see. The hotel is in an historic building but it is fully renovated and the result is a mix of historic perspective and contemporary taste. Everyone is very nice and gentle . Perfect for couple

The Breakfast - A classic hotel, which I've used twice before, in 1995 & 2005, before its recent refurbishment. It's now three times the price, but the grandeur is no longer faded, it's now a true 5-star place. And I'm delighted to say that the refurb hasn't spoilt its character at all, as this is a hotel with more character and history than most! Staff were great, we got a room upgrade, and an extra hour extended checkout wasn't a problem. If we return to Istanbul, it'll be the Pera Palas for us!

  Great location. Apartments are a few steps away from Galata tower and 5 min walk to Istiklal street. There are many cafes and restaurants right next to Galata tower. A cab ride to sultanahmet took us 10 mins and 20- 25 lira ( taxi meter better than prenegotiated rate). Manager was very nice and accommodative. Rooms were clean and sofa-bed was comf... what people say » ortable. Almost all amenities included which made things easy especially with young kids. A small grocery store and money exchange in the back street. - The size of the apartment was of a good size of about 36 sq.m with the sofa bed being able to be folded into bed making our stay with the Kids much conveninent. The location of the apartment is excellent within close proximity to the shopping area of Estiqlal in Taksim and also metro/trump stations. The hospitality of the management was handled with excellent care by Mr. Takin and his team.
