Location, staff and the little kitchen facility in the room. I relly like the independence, discretion and calmness.Kind staff. Perfect location - walking distance from the city center, 5 minutest from the railway station, not far from the lake. Nice looking room, bathroom and all the equipment is held in perfect condition. Free WiFi internet access is a big advantage.

Room had fridge and cooking rings so did not have to go out for breakfast when I was working. Kitchen compartment and cups and glasses were never cleaned. Fridge filthy.Missing reception desk. For me it was a little bit unconfortable to have all the communication only by phone. I prefer "face to face" communication. Lack of a human being at reception. It was easy to telephone to 'remote receptionist' but she was not able to provide batteries for the TV remote which did not work. She did offer to change my room but I had already established myself by then. For the price I would have expected there to be someone on reception to deal with queroes. Arriuving on ones own in dark to a remotely controlled hotel was a bit unsettling.the room is a little small. the price. A bit strange only speaking to the reception by phone. I requested a receipt by fax but it did not appear. For a non smoking room it had a very strong cigar smell. There was no mirror in the bathroom. The baggage stand collapsed when one medium bag was placed upon it. As it collapsed to the floor the stand grazed both my shins tearing the skin through 2 thicknesses of fabric on my legs which then were bleeding profusely I called the reception and a maid came to me, she had no first aid at hand.It's funny that they even don't have a phisically existent receptionist (you just say by phone your name and credit card details and she gives you access code for sthe room key locker). But this unattended service by phone is not enough when I need a glass, a corkscrew, a socket adapter or additional towel. Hotel staff is always away from the hotel.We need to talk with them on the phone.close to the road,so it is a little noisy at night. The smell of the room is not bad, the breakfast is too simple. wifi- many times interupted room- was cleaned only 1 time in 8 days.

Our hotel is located in the centre of Lausanne, only 300 metres from the central station, 800 metres from the shore of Lake Geneva and near most international sports organisations.
