Hotel & restaurant staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious and well maintained. We ate several meals here and were very pleased with the high quality and service received. We would recommend the Allegarden to anyone wishing to stay in the Oland/Kalmar area. -

We arrived late due to airline lost luggage issue. A man came quickly and let us in, and stayed until we were settled. The next day when our lost luggage arrived, they brought it to us quickly. The Rum Oscar is a wonderful hotel, quiet and with a great staff -

The whole idea - a hotel as a prison - was wonderful! The style was exciting, with strong fences in windows and historic prison pictures in the corridors. A great way to revive the history of the building and bring it to modern use!
Also, the hotel is just across a train station / bus terminal, making it very easy to reach. -

The staff was great calling me up a couple of days in advance, asking if I would arrive late (which I was...). And then I got the instructions for how to get my key and find my room. They were very nice. -
