The hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful, something we have found lacking in our stay at various hotels abroad. The room was very clean and comfortable and there were lots of little touches to make us feel welcome. The location was also very good, a few minutes walk from La Ramblas, but not close enough to be bothered by the noise. It was also a 10 minute walk to the main bus station.
all reviews » This was my favorite hotel I stayed at during my trip. The room was beautiful. The facilities were fantastic, my son and I had a swim and the room had all those little extras that you might have forgotten. The best thing about this hotel though was the staff. We recieved a lovely welcome, they were fluent in a number of languages so our English was no problem. They were fabulous.We liked all the tourist information about Barcelona provided by the hotel. The staff was very curtious and very helpful when we arrived. Our room was very clean and the bathroom was well equipped with for our needs. The room was spotless, it is in a very convienient location and the staff were excellent throughout our stay. I can't recommend this hotel highly enough. Our room was quite noisy as it lead directly to a court yard of a school and a kindergarden. However, it was nothing that really disrupted our holidays. The mini bar is extremely expensive and so is the breakfast. I would therefore recommend to book the accommodation only and to have breakfast in one of the various cafe places in Barcelona.OK, Breakfast was not included, but how about at least a cup of coffee?. breakfast was a little too expensive. Breakfast is not included and the swimming pool is little bigger thana bathtub. Limited spaces in breakfast room, early breakfasts recommended.(over greedy guests on a touring holiday from Bavaria!). School yard noise in back of hotel.... but gave the hotel some character. Trouble with the shower sink, everybody complains about this, they have a turn know that does not work, was arranged when asked.Unfortunately door of the room not as as soundproof as the windows: noisy people in the hallway means being woken up during the night. Rooms were not cleaned until after 4pm most days. If you popped back for an afternoon early, the room was not ready.

How to arrive from the airport: * DRIVING: Just follow the highway to the city center. The highway becomes Gran Via Corts Catalanes. Just drive to number 656. * TAXI: Regular taxis from the airport take about 15-25 minutes. The approximate cost is 25 euros. * BUS: The "Aerobus" leaves the airport terminals every 12 minutes. It takes 20-30 minutes. The cost is about 3,50 euros per person. It is fast and comfortable, with place for luggage. You must stop in Plaça Catalunya and then walk two blocks up and two blockS right (see map). * TRAIN: Similar to the bus, you must also stop in Plaça Catalunya. * FROM GIRONA AIRPORT(105 km North), the best option is the direct bus. It stops 450 meters away from the hotel
