Design apartements hotel at a perfect location to visit Barcelona (at a quiet street near the University area, where locals and not so many tourist stay, within 5-10 min walk from Catalonia sq., Las Ramblas and Passeig de Gracia), many restaurants and tapas-cervecerias in the area frequented by locals (not only tourists), reasonably priced (15-20 euros pp full course). We stayed for a week at apartement 602 (probably the best of the hotel facing the street) at the 6th floor, with a double bed.
all reviews » -Good location, 2 minutes walk from Placa Universitat, 10 minutes to La Rambla -Stylish and modern interior of the hotel and apartments, clean and fresh -Good layout of the apartment itself, we made our own breakfast at apartment, good eqipped kitchen -Friendly staff, got lot of help and tips from guy at the reception. -Chek out time 12 p.m. : very nice if you are tired on mornings -Lot of cafeterias, bars, small supermarkets in the neighborhood -I will recommend this hotel to family and friend. The room was very spacious with its own kitchenette. Decoration and the design of the room was very luxurious. Air conditioning in the room was excellent. It's located in a very safe and elegant neighbourhood and about 15min walking distance to major attractions in La Rambla. Lots of cafes around for having breakfast as we didn't include the pricey breakfast in our package. No street noise during our stay. Overall highly recommend this place if you are a family or a young couple in a romantic b. Excellent service . front office staff was helpful and friendly. We are able to check in early when we arrive in the morning. Housekeeping was excellent, the chambermaid did a fantastic job in keeping our room clean and tidy everyday. Location was great, short walk to metro and main shopping area and neighbourhood was quiet. Room was adequate size and comfortable. wifi was fast and reliable. I would highly recommend staying in this hotel when in Barcelona. Nice room (we booked the familyroom) with comfortable beds. Bathroom was okay and very clean. The room was surprisingly 'decorated' by the use of a few sliding doors, which gave the room a larger view (by dividing the room in smaller cublicles). We did not make use of the little kitchen or the tv's (why should we, we were in Barcelona ;-), so no comments on that. Staff was very helpful . whatever we ask, they do directly . wifi was perfect . cleaning rooms in everyday . great location . no noice . surely I will come back to the hotel in next visiting to barcelona. We spent 3 nights in Ako suites. That was perfect choice. Beautiful rooms, large, fantastic design bathroom/toilet. Great service, very clean. Perfect central location for that money. Would come again. The room was realy clean and useful for the families with young children. there was everything you need in the kitchen. it is in the middle of the city, near the La Rambla and Passeig de Gracia. Expensive mini bar and continental breakfast option served in the room (12 euros pp), there's a mini market across the street to prepare breakfast. Once the sofa is used as a bed the only place to sit to have breakfast or eat in the room is on the two kitchen stools, not enough for four persons. The hotel should add two more stools when the room is booked to accomodate four persons. Have nothing negative to say our stay at this hotel. We had asked for a double room but instead got two single beds pushed together. However, I am not sure if that's what they offer as a double room in general or they just didn't have a room with double bed available for us. Internet access was poor in the bedroom area and only moderately good in the lounge kitchen area. For a four-star hotel apartment like this there could have been nicer facilities such as a swimming pool or a gym or even a small cafe in the lobby. No oven toaster provided, having one will be great. Kettle was provided but the heating coil was rusted. Sofa bed was too soft and uncomfortable. Nothing not good in my mind .. Bathroom utensils (soap, shampoo, etc.) could be better. Room wasn't ready on time. The lack of a restaurant or cafe was disappointing. The property could be greatly improved by providing complimentary coffee and a coffee pot in each room!!. I assume it is a non smoking hotel however some patrons were smoking in the stairwell. This should be monitored. no bar no facilities. Location. A few expensive price. Nothing. Everything was good. Nothing!. Nill. Only they not have bill boy.
