  We have stayed a few times and like staying on the harbour. Staff are very friendly and keen to make our stay enjoyable. Good area for walking to the countryside and some beautiful lakes The food was good and the chef and staff went out of their way to be friendly.   The owners were lovely, very friendly, helpful and we felt very welcomed. A unique hotel developed from a well appointed ex Hydro electric generating company staff accommodation. Breakfasts were typical continental but very good. The decor and furnishings are minimal and in keeping with the style of the hotel.   I went to haugesund for ironman 70.3 race. I stayed in this hotel and hotel was really nice it was close to official race hotel. also for city sightseeing the location is perfect since it is just in the middle of the town - NIce and friendly staff, breakfast- good, free coffee machine in the lobby:)
