The location is the best you can get in Amsterdam - close to all touristic attractions, shopping, restaurants and so on, as it is right in the middle of the city.
In the same time, it's far enough from the hustle and bustle of Dam Square, Red Light District or the trams and cars to be decently quiet.

The location was perfect, less than 10 minutes to central station and close to the red light district but not on top of it. The location was the best thing about this hotel - it is right next to the red light district - which is pretty central to everywhere in Amsterdam - all the places we wanted to visit were at most a 20 minute walk away, therefore public transport was not needed. We had booked a small double - which was definitely small, however for our 3 night stay, this was perfect for us.
