Lovely attentive staff, and personal service - arvin was fantastic. Its very well located - 10 mins walk from central station, near the red light district and china town, with a supermarket right across the square.

There were so many thoughtful touches in our room. We had a choice of coffees in our room, cookies, water, and a light breakfast if we wanted to eat there. We didn't, because the breakfast downstairs was so varied and in a cozy breakfast room with interesting people to visit. It was like being a favorite guest in someone's home.

This was our first trip to Amsterdam and certainly won't be our last, due mainly to the excellent service and kindness of Chris and David at the Tulip of Amsterdam. (in fact, we made a second reservation on our last day! I think that says it all!) Our room was beautifully decorated, clean and well equipped as was the rest of this lovely old refurbished building. Location is very good, only 5 munites of walk from central station. The room is tidy and distinctive. Kitchen is also nice, we cooked during our stay. A feeling of Home. I will choose this accomadation again when the next time to Amsterdam. -

Good host who provided useful local information on nearby pubs and cafes. Very close to Central station and tram routes. Flat well sourced with tea/coffee and travel guides/maps. Luckily we were on first floor - good tip to ask for this flat. Able to leave bags in cycle shop next door which was also run by our host. Very good value for centre

The staff was wonderful. Our refridgerator had a problem but they came within minutes to correct. We blew a fuse at 5 in the morning and again there in minutes to fix. Access to the hotel facilities was great too. But the staff is fantastic. There to help you and so friendly. Loved it. - Location and luxury
