The villa is overlooking the whole city of Florence, yet it's is a quite neigbouehood.It's about 10 minutes walk to the Boboli Park which was mentioned in Dan Brown's book" Inferno". At the end of the park you reach the Patti Museum and can head to the center of the Florence.The owner of the villa can make reservations for you if you want to go to different meseums. Very nice breakfast. Staying at this charming hotel was lIke taking a step back in time to when service was considered to be the essential ingredient of hospitality. The staff were attentive & friendly, the pool area was beautifully maintained & breakfast was excellent. Parking was secure & the location was in a lovely area of Florence. The historic centre was easily accessible.
all reviews » Although located about 40 min from city center by walk, the view from the balcony - panorama of Florence - is amasing and it is worth leaving not in the center. The spacious balcony to enjoy tea/glass of wine in the afternoon, together with Toscany beautiful hills and Santa Maria di Fiore. Family warm atmosphere. Hotel surrounded by gardens, with private free parking. everything.. i loved the house and my rooms, the family and other staff where fantastic they treated my 14 year old son and i like we were related it was fantastic. the food the location, the pool everything made our stay in florence amazing thanks so much to the family for opening ther Bella cassa (Beautiful home) to us. -close enough to the city that we could walk or take a bus (it was a pretty long walk though), but far enough away that we felt like we were in the quiet countryside -swimming pool -bar (and the bar munchies - pretzels and nuts etc) -spacious room -automated shutters on the windows you can close from your bed. A high standard hotel situated on a hill at the edge of Florence, with views across the Tuscan countryside. Although within an urban area you'd never know. It's very quiet and secluded. The peace, quiet and relaxing atmosphere of the hotel made it perfect after a strenuous day of sightseeing in the warm weather. A very pleasant walk into Florence taking in the "Boboli Gardens" en route. The location is fairly close to Florence center if you are driving. You can also take a bus to the center but it is hard to use the bus system on the way back. Wifi reception varied from poor to non-existent. We had a noisy plant room outside of our window which made sleeping difficult. The water woul not go properly in the bath sink. -the food on the "snack" menu was really terrible, I would NOT recommend eating dinner here -the other guests in the hotel were quite noisy, slamming doors and being loud all evening, which echoed in our room and disturbed our peace. Minor niggle, but a refrigerator in the room would have made it just perfect. Nothing. bus stop was A bit of A walk. Would be nice if they provided a nicer Italian breakfast. Nothing. Our room was a little dark, cool when we returned after our day sightseeing, but would pay extra for one with a view next time. The bathrooms were adequate but not very well maitained. The breakfast had very poor selection and is very basic.
