Sangaggio House is a charming, characterful house, set on a hillside with stunning views over the Florence cityscape. Flaminia, the hostess, was utterly charming and couldn't do enough to help make our stay a good one. She provided a city map and talked us through it, offered excellent suggestions regarding good, non-tourist-trap restaurants and offered sightseeing help/advice. We had a clean, bright, attractively furnished room on the 1st floor, with a balcony and dreamy views of the Duomo - v.

I like everything there good location quiet environment surrounded by some kind of fazenda and park and convenient transportation to downtown furnitures of Host's grandmother:) Very nice host and hostess we were late for check in due to missing the train from Milan to Florence but they were so patient and waited for us till 9PM Staff are also nice and helpful housekeeping throught away a bag by mistake the lovely receptionist found for me in trash next morni. Amazing B&B!!! Room was exactly what we needed. Stayed here with our two kids (9 months and 3 yrs) and the owner couldn't do enough for us. The room had two seperate sections so we could still have some peace and quiet after the kids went to sleep. The owner, forgive me I forget her name, provide us with recommendation on everything! Would love to go back here. Town is about a 20 min walk, but if you have a car or take the bus, it is not big deal. Love this place. The host was very helpful and friendly, going behond what is expected, helping us with booking tours etc... The house is clean beautiful and historic, just outside the main part of Florence so it is quiet with a beautiful garden where a delicious breakfast is served. You can walk to boboli gardens and all the main sites (15-20 minutes) or take a bus. This b&b made our stay in florence very enjoyable after a tiring 5 weeks of travelling. I would say Sangaggio House B&B beats the best hotel during my monthly trip! The house is amazing,I especially love the big and warm living room.and the hostess,Flaminia,who is nice,lovely and helpful,cook us wonderful breakfast to kick off every good day.I will go there again and strongly recommend this place for your choice in Florence!. Flaminia was an extremely helpful and cheerful host, very accommodating, set up tours for us, treated us like family. Breakfast was always nice, rooms clean and comfortable, great view. Close to mass transit. Loving the position, it's less then 10 min. from entry in Boboli and 20 min. from ponte vecchio. Free parking is very near and staff is very very kind. Flaminia was very helpful with her advices. The host was nice and very helpful - he recommended us some very good reataurants in florence, he offered to help us with museum reservations, etc. good breakfast. The room was very clean. Flaminia was a lovely lady. Such a stylish host in manner and appearance. The B & B is situated in a town/terrace house. Squeaky clean. Tastefully decorated. Breakfast good. The owner was so kind and caring that she made us feel like home. The view of Florence is wwonderful. The building is cosy. Fantastic hostess, couldn't do enough to make our stay comfortable. Breakfasts were to die for, delicious!. The hospitality is great ,, they have a great staff working there and dealing with guests like a family. The place was clean and with a great breakfast. Flaminia was the perfect host. The fresh pastries in the morning and the beautiful view overlooking Florence. I like the situation of the hotel and the balance of price/gain. The quiet location was a nice change from the busy city central. The hostess was very helpful and spoke good English. Close to the historic center (20-30 minutes walk), helpful and friendly lady. Just a minor point: although the bathroom facilities were generally good, the shower tray did not drain properly. Room only had a shower, although very common in Europe, which made it touch to bath our 9 month old. No big deal. WiFi coverage was spotty in the rooms but worked fine when we moved to the right location. Only a minor inconvenience. Will recommend to others. You have to walk a rather long way to the center (approx 20 min). The mosquitos were a problem, but this is definitely not the hotel's fault:). I personally loved the location. Suburbs (nice suburb) of Florence. It is a little far from the main tourists attractions of Florence but I quite liked the distance from other tourists and tourist attractions. From memory it was about a 20 minute walk to the centre. My third visit to Florence so knew my way around. Absolutely nothing thanks to the sweet lady (owner). Noise from the neighbour, dogs barking, major renovations happening in the house next door. We were disappointed that we could hear every noise in the house and the one next door. Hammering on the pipes at 7:00a.m. Water running in the upstairs room and bathroom that was old and poor way pressure in the shower. Many stairs (was travelling with a baby and stroller), didnt think the room was clean enough (stains on bed sheets, dirty shower door. Very small shower,breakfast so so.
