Standard of cleanliness was excellent. Friendly and well organised staff. Kitchen area was well stocked with equipment and the gardens were well maintained. Excellent facilities and a pleasant atmosphere. The manager, Gianna, was extremely helpful and knowledgable about the area. Very nicely decorated room, quiet, very friendly staff, great breakfast. room, breakfast, garden. friendly owner. excelent. It was very clean, comfortable and quiet. The staff were also extremely helpfully and nice. Breakfast was top dollar!. Having our own fridge refilled magically every morning with breakfast food. nice host. Good breakfast. free parking. secure.This was a lovely BandB. The room was nicely decorated and we had a patio door onto the lovely garden terrace. Not too far from the center of Florence with good bus service. Breakfast and snacks were provided in individual fridges for each room. Walking distance to downtown, very nice staff. Cute, clean rooms, beautiful area, nice garden area.Medieval decoration, nice smell in room and dining room. Tea,coffee nibbles when you get back from a long day. Location was nice but quite a walk from the center of town. We were in Florence during a very hot spell and the lack of air conditioning meant that the room was quite hot. We were provided with a fan which was much appreciated and did relieve the heat somewhat.Very difficult "check in". Expensive for what is was. Overall good experience though!. The directions to the hotel were wrong it needs to be made more clear and its a bit confusing getting into the hotel. After giving our time of arrivel I expected someone there to let us in.Hotel unstaffed at night, need cell phone to report problems, wireless internet not available in most rooms, checkin took over an hour, no way to adjust room temperature, when we complained about the cold we were told to "wear a blanket".

Our Bed and Breakfast is located on the way to the motorway exit Firenze Certosa, it is also a strategic starting-point to the Chianti area whose gorgeous farms and castles are a few minutes away as well as the medieval and historic towns of Siena, Volterra, San Gimignano, Arezzo, Pistoia, Pisa and Lucca.
Travelling information
By Car:
- Take the A1 Milan-Naples Motorway.
- Exit at Firenze-Certosa.
- Drive through Via Senese for about 4 km, towards Florence.
- Turn right in Via del Gelsomino and drive for 1 km.
- Turn left towards the centre.
- When you arrive in Porta Romana Square, turn back in Via Senese.
- After about 600 metres, turn right in Via Paolo Mascagni.
- At the end of the street turn left in Via Cardinal Leopoldo, 62
By Bus
From the Santa Maria Novella train station:
- Take Ataf bus number 36 or 37 in front of the train station.
- Get off at the San Gaggio 5 stop.
- The bus stop is about 150 metres from the Relais; walk back for 50 metres before finding the Cardinal Leopoldo Street on your left.
By Air:
- Take the Sita/Ataf shuttle-bus at Florence Airport Amerigo Vespucci, linking the airport to the main train station (Santa Maria Novella).
