  From the moment that we drove down through the city streets to City Center Hotel, we knew that the location was just right on. We were near the majority of restaurants, museums & galleries and shopping. Everything was in walking distance. The staff was very helpful in all aspects that a visitor to Iceland would expect.   This place must be the best value in Reykjavik. I walked into my room and had a mini-jaw drop as I saw the quality of the furnishings, the comfortable bed, the NEWness of everything, and a well-stocked kitchenette. Breakfast is a tray of goodies - bread, jams, cheese. They also provide cartons of milk and orange juice that you are free to use up.... what people say » Our kitchenette featured a sink, toaster, mini-fridge, and basic cooking equipment (pots and pans). The front desk staff is VERY nice and helpful. P - Everything was great - clean, spacious, comfortable, well-equipped (wifi in room, kitchen facilities, ipod dock), and the bath was lovely. The staff were friendly & helpful, dealing with some of my tourist queries including phone calls to local tour companies. The location is very central and you can walk to all shopping, bars, restaurants, harbour etc. Most tour companies pick up and drop off outside the hotel.

  The apartment is extremely spacious and comfortable with a big balcony and a fabulous view over the old harbour, and the location is wonderful. It is very well-equipped and I loved the heated floors. There is a wonderful amount of closet and storage space, and access to very good tv channels as well as a small library in the reception area of vide... what people say » os and books. It was large, clean, bright, well located, and contained all the right amenities. Despite being an apartment, clean towels were deivered daily, and the trash emptied. Owner Ilhan was charming, and eager to offer assistance.
