From the moment that we drove down through the city streets to City
Center Hotel, we knew that the location was just right on. We were near
the majority of restaurants, museums & galleries and shopping.
Everything was in walking distance. The staff was very helpful in all

Very central location...close to main shopping areas, tourist centers
and restaurants...try The Grill Market Restaurant on the same street as
the hotel. We had a room with a balcony which was a good idea as it gave
us a lovely view of the square behind the hotel. The staff were very
helpful and breakfast was substantial. Easily reached( to and from
airport ). Very comfortable and warm. Tours to take...The Golden Circle

This place must be the best value in Reykjavik. I walked into my room and had a mini-jaw drop as I saw the quality of the furnishings, the comfortable bed, the NEWness of everything, and a well-stocked kitchenette. Breakfast is a tray of goodies - bread, jams, cheese. They also provide cartons of milk and orange juice that you are free to use up.

Everything was great - clean, spacious, comfortable, well-equipped (wifi in room, kitchen facilities, ipod dock), and the bath was lovely. The staff were friendly & helpful, dealing with some of my tourist queries including phone calls to local tour companies. The location is very central and you can walk to all shopping, bars, restaurants, harbour etc. Most tour companies pick up and drop off outside the hotel.

This was our first stop on a tour of Scandanavia, and I am confident our best accommodation. The apartment was perfect. It was large, clean, bright, well located, and contained all the right amenities. Despite being an apartment, clean towels were deivered daily, and the trash emptied. Owner Ilhan was charming, and eager to offer assistance. A cell phone from which guests can make local calls for free is included, and Ilhan encouraged us to use the phone to call him if we encountered any issu
