  All of the reception personnel were extremely gracious and helpful. Nothing ever seemed to be too much trouble. They answered questions, confirmed tours, made phone calls to check on things in other towns, made great suggestions about places to eat and buy things, and gave directions to get around.   We were a family group: Grandpa, Grandma, Daughter, grandsons ages 11, 12. We needed affordable lodging near shopping and public transportation. We also saw a family studio which was bigger and again very clean and pleasant. I asked to upgrade our room as I wanted a bit more space (the prices are very reasonable and I was happy to pay more). However when the owner and Thora heard it was the last leg of our honeymoon, they upgraded us to a 3 bed

  Staff was really nice and helpful, the room was warm and clean. The hotel is located 2min from the main street and 10min from the center (by walking) and really cheaper than other center hotels. - The staff are incredibly helpful, especially with organising bus transfers, trips and taxi's.   This place must be the best value in Reykjavik. I walked into my room and had a mini-jaw drop as I saw the quality of the furnishings, the comfortable bed, the NEWness of everything, and a well-stocked kitchenette. Breakfast is a tray of goodies - bread, jams, cheese. They also provide cartons of milk and orange juice that you are free to use up.... what people say » Our kitchenette featured a sink, toaster, mini-fridge, and basic cooking equipment (pots and pans). The front desk staff is VERY nice and helpful. P - Everything was great - clean, spacious, comfortable, well-equipped (wifi in room, kitchen facilities, ipod dock), and the bath was lovely. The staff were friendly & helpful, dealing with some of my tourist queries including phone calls to local tour companies. The location is very central and you can walk to all shopping, bars, restaurants, harbour etc. Most tour companies pick up and drop off outside the hotel.

  My friend and I stayed here for 5 days in May. The location is perfect for walking around the city, but far enough from the noise of the bars. We got a room on the 4th floor with a balcony (no elevator). We stayed at the address where you check in. We booked a studio apartment with a full bed.
